My favorite movie criticism is nitpicks that reveal the critic as an idiot who didn’t pay attention.

BvS May be bad, but I mean the jar is a clear reference to the Senator’s line about being able to see through shit. They explain the bomb as being in a lead container which Superman can not see through. Which sure this weakness is not established before, it’s still known in our real life culture.

And while I do think the themes of the movie are kind of mishandled, I don’t know I don’t understand how it’s hard to get Alex’s motivation. He wants to prove Superman is evil and flawed. He manipulates flawed hero Batman to kill him. Doomsday sucks not because it’s exactly stupid, it’s because the writing of the themes and the construction of Super hero movies needs a final villain for people to fight. The writing simply lacked imagination and skill to balance its themes and end with supes and bats on the same side. So it just throws a final villain with the rationale that I guess Lex just had a back up plan.

The movie is kind of bad. But lame criticism is just as bad.

But they're using an old version called Skype for Business because people don't know how to update.

You're asking people who still use Internet Explorer 10 or Windows XP to work from home remotely.

Lex outright states to Superman that "Doomsday" was his backup plan if the heroes came together rather than Batman killing Superman. If Batman had never heard "Martha" and killed him, Lex probably would have saved Doomsday for later. (Or he might have unleashed Doomsday to kill Batman anyway.)

The Senator earlier warns Lex not to pee in a jar and tell her it's peach tea or whatever as in "don't lie to me." It's a take off on lines like Judge Judy's "don't pee on me and tell me it's raining" line. They have a whole shot establishing that Luthor has a saved seat up front, and then aligns the shot so she notices the tea/pee and that he's gone from his seat. THEN she looks at Superman (which is supposed to be relevant as she's been a critic yet still looks to him) and the bomb goes off. There's literally nothing confusing about the scene. Lex wants her to know he did lie and manipulate her before he kills her, but he also doesn't want to be there when he blows up the damn room. (And for the comic knowledge fan he also notably sacrifices Mercy to keep the plan tight.)

The Ultimate Cut makes the whole plot of Lex's make more sense but like you noted, this isn't even nitpicking it's missing the clearly obvious in either cut.

UPDATE:

Talking with a few lawyers, free consultations of course, it turns out disability is exempted in state bankruptcy proceedings. With $1m on the hook, it's possible TDA will try to remand to federal bankruptcy.

Right now it's looking like - get it done in state - off the hook. Get it done in federal - disability money garnished at 25% for 10 years, then debt forgiven and IRS taxes the forgiven amount. Possibly garnished a lot more as I def don't need $15k/mo to maintain my lifestyle. Gonna need a super lawyer to keep it in state as I stayed in CA the entire time, opened the account in CA, and TDA has state presence by having physical retail buildings so are bound to state creditor laws.

TL;DR
May be paying a lawyer 100k-1m to not owe 1m to keep it in state court, lol. I need the best here as they'll bring the best.

I don't know where to go for advices but I've seen many people here in difficult situations that received the advices and support they needed. I will request your advices please.

I won't badmouth my wife, she's an amazing person that deserves to find the right one. I'm just not that person.

We been Married for 2 years. She never planned to stay in Canada, she was supposed to go back to China once she was done with her studies. But she fell in love with me then the country. She doesn't want to go back. She did get her Permanent Residency thanks to our marriage. But If we divorce within 2 years, it's not longer valid.
She would have to return to China, it would break her now that she has a very bad opinion of the country.

One thing that also doesn't help is that her entire universe turns around me. It's wrong and I wanted her to make friends or find activities. But she was perfectly happy with me being the center of everything. The fact that she doesn't speak French like most people here doesn't help. If I'm not there, she has no one. I don't know how to handle that, it's suffocating.

She doesn't have the best relationship with her own parents who are still in China.

She has shown tendency to have very dark thoughts before me. I'm very worried that she might do something terrible to herself if I leave.

I have to constantly being an emotionnal pillar, I'm not allowed to be sad because she will end up sadder and I will be the one comforting her at the end of it all.

She gave me A LOT, she cares A LOT about me.
I want to leave because I'm not happy, not because she's a bad person.

I'm just lost as to how to handle everything.

EDIT : I may have to look if we have to stay at the same adress for her PR. I see a lot of suggestion for Separating without going through divorce, that seems like a good Idea for the PR part of the situation.

Can someone clear up the tax liability part? I work in a primarily tip based job so my taxable income was only $7500 in 2018, would I qualify for the $1200 ?
