Like, yeah, the "POLITICAL AGENDA" of Naughty Dogs is a pretty goofy argument to make but by all means it seems it should jive well with principles that get expressed often on ERA.
But I forgot "Bad Side of History". 
it's not really that inconsistent, unless people are actually arguing the game is somehow not political and the strawguy is wrong on that basis
if strawguy is saying "I'm not buying it because now it's all political," the era approved™ argument against it is to say EVERYTHING is political, and you just prefer the conservative, LGBT-ignoring politics of Mario over TLOU2's left-leaning politics
so to say it's suddenly political is a dogwhistle that it's suddenly now more left-leaning, which you don't approve of
and while boycotting to express disappointment is an acceptable action in a vacuum, of course doing anything that helps promote games with a conservative approach to storytelling (read: ignoring the greater political climate in favor of traditional princess-saving plots) is badwrong
