The people never got their money back from OnlyFans. There are not refunds on OnlyFans. They are getting it back through chargeback. That is a dispute between a customer and a business over a transaction.
It would be like getting something faulty from eBay and being denied a refund. You then open a PayPal dispute. OnlyFans never gave refunds. The credit or debit card provider forced a chargeback to get the money back.
This is the OnlyFans scam. No refunds. No previews. What do you think happens when you sign up to OnlyFans? You sign up, and then you find out you just signed up for nothing and all the content is via DMs for $20-$200 a piece. Your sub is just access to DMs to pay extortionate money for content. You want a preview of the content? Fuck you. You want a refund because I sent you something completely different then what you paid for? Fuck you. That is OnlyFans. Everyone on Onlyfans is scamming. Sex workers are mad it is now mainstream knowledge and policies have been put in place to limit it.
Bolded is just nonsense, the fact that some people are using the platform is sketchy ways (like Bella Thorne did) doesn't mean everyone on it is scamming, and doesn't mean everyone complaining about these policies (which don't really address the problems) are scammers who got their party ruined, a lot of complaints seem to be for the fact that money is held for 30 days instead of a week.
Certainly OF could have better policies, but practically all of these companies (say Paypal, Payoneer, Patreon, Kickstarter) are used here and there to scam people, doesn't mean everyone using them is a scammer.
Also OF is not the Bermuda Triangle, you can run to reddit to name & shame the second you get scammed, how do you build a business out of that? Or you're telling everyone on OF is doing the hit&run job of Bella Thorne ot Belle Delphine or whatever?
Sounds to me like you just need to research better to what type of OF content you subscribe.
Most of them advertise their stuff on Reddit, Twitter and other places so it shouldn't be that hard to find out who is scamming and who is not.
Also, can't you just cancel?
It's always up to the model/performer to decide how much and what she wants to share. You know that when you sign up.
You're not entitled to a certain shot or video because you signed up for her OnlyFans.
The Bella situation is a bit different because she clearly scammed people (promised nudes, gave a lingerie shot).
And you know, maybe it wasn't intentional and that was just the material she felt like she wanted to share.
It doesn't rule out that she will share nudes in the future. If they don't offer previews or whatever, well don't sign up.
You're right that many do post stuff on reddit and twitter. But most? Nah. You know what would be easier? If OnlyFans implemented a feedback system. I think you know why that will never happen. It would also be easier if OnlyFans performers put in the description that content would be sold via DM. They want you to believe you are getting content on the main page even though most of it is in DMs. This is the common scam. If they clearly state what content to expect on their page then cool. But they don't need to thus do not do it. A lot of people do not understand the OnlyFans is a big business and the performers are often signed up to agencies who control the pages.
It would never go down in any other industry. Imagine eBay where there is no description of an item, no picture and no feedback system at all. Also, no refunds. That is OnlyFans. You are currently defending that.
Promising nudes and not delivering is common place on OnlyFans. All the Instagram girls are doing it. They say NUDITY and then never post any. This is very common place. I can easily find examples. I wrote a thesis on this, btw. srs.
But I will stop posting about this now because nobody wants to read this.
I'm not against OF doing whatever, in terms of policy, to be clear, but i don't understand how the bolded would change anything.
Either they don't allow DM sales, or fork out refund money (which comes with its own issue, when a client can ask a refund even if the content was to spec).
Saying that sales will be made through DMs is something you can just expect, and wouldn't change much.
