Let's do another!
I mean how can you discount the chromanticore stuff which honestly is an awful offensive name considering what the word manticore means.
It means "man eater". Like, that is a literal fucking translation from the Persian.
Is there some kind of anti-trans slur about trans people being cannibals that makes this "an awful offensive name considering what the word manticore means"?
That and the other promotional art with the woman vomiting blood with her genitalia on display it's not the best image.
The one other image from the actual game in the OP of this thread?
The one where you are seeing "a woman", based on... leather short pants and heeled leather boots?
The fact they are obviously in a male toilet, have no breasts, short hair, and male genitalia makes them
a trans woman, because thats way more convenient for your narrative, orrr..........?
Whats the basis for your jump to firmly establishing the portrayed characters gender, other than as a circular reference to use
as an argument against CDPRs portrayal of gender?
The big issue here is that this all ties into the heavy sexualization and appropriation of trans identities which has been an ongoing issue in the community for ages.(I'm planning on making a thread about it).
OH BOY I CAN'T WAIT
Like as an example one major issue is how the porn industry exploits us and uses us as hyper sexualized caricatures which is demeaning and let's folks pretend we don't exist. They use fancy words the other us instead of like using proper identification.(e.g. dickgirl, futa, trap, shemale)
Oh, is
the porn industry exploitative?

All of this stuff harkens back to the cyberpunk ads and the literal fact that their defence of said ad is invalidated by their marketing.
...because CDPR are... funded by the porn industry? Endorsing the porn industry? Vertically integrated with the porn industry?
What? What about how the porn industry operates is relevant to videogames in general or this particular videogame in particular?
They both go to E3?
Let's also not forget them targeting era as a whole and making fun of us when people pointed out the genitalia issue with the game letting you to customize your penis for no real reason and leaving the vulva absent.
Let's also not forget the time they injected corona into chemtrails and turned frogs gay
Oh did
other people make fun of era for being stupid about something?

It's common for penises to come in 'cut' and 'uncut' varieties. Female circumcision is better known as female genital
mutilation, and is widely condemned globally as a barbaric practice.
Why would a videogame not give the player options to have
mutilated vaginas?

They've been catering to the worst part of the gaming crowd and it's really hard to justify the cosplay and ad as empowering to trans people who don't mind their genitalia and I know there are folks out there that don't mind it. It just feels like it's really hard to believe the company is behind us when they do all this other stuff to hurt us. And as Kyu put it there's alot of sus stuff about the company that really takes away from their messaging. So in closing no the issue is not so much her cosplaying as a trans person it's her sexualizating and dehumanizing trans people with the cosplay.
In summary I'm not really talking about anything thats a general consensus, but I'll treat it as general consensus anyway, and I'm not really too hot on specifics but seems like theres some suspicions that people might have and people are mad and I want in on that so yeah lets get mad together for reasons
