I can't tell you how many times I was disappointed when I see PAWG in the title but the thumbnail clearly shows an ass that can barely twerk.

Aren't lots of companies officially domiciliated in Delaware (despite not even being there) for tax reasons or something?

It's another mistake from the mod team, and one where an apology is required. If mods want people to be respectful and civil, then they can't go around dishing out petty ban messages, and they can't take out grudges on members or tell them to go and "pound sand"I get that tone policing and a focus on civility can be used to dismiss real concerns, but gaming is a toxic enough space already, do we really want to make the argument that it should be fine to tell staff to go fuck themselves?I think some people really grapple with the fact this is a video game forum. The gaming side and topics have the most posts, and most people use the site to discuss video games, so we should be asking what do we want from a video game forum, and how can it be inclusive and uplift voices/opinions/views the mainstream would dismiss, ignore or mockThe answer isn't to ban games or discussion of them. The whole Cyberpunk thing has been a mess. A lot of which is the mods fault, as they were blindsided by the user who was making the original OP, but the policy keeps changing and was never clearly communicated. For games like this, they should clearly lay out the policy before hand- Only allow an OT, a thread specifically to discuss any issues with the game, and maybe a PC performance thread. Maybe only a review thread that compiles reviews in the OP, but is locked and doesn't allow for discussion/hype- Ensure the OP of these threads clearly informs on the issues with the game, and harshly moderate anyone who handwaves or downplays them- Lock every single other thread for the game, regardless of whether it's positive or negative, so those who don't wish to discuss/see the game on the forum can just ignore the handful of permitted threads on the game and browse the forum safelyInstead we have an OT that is almost impossible to follow as so many topics are being discussed, then what seems like only negative threads allowed. So uses who want to discuss the game, struggle to, or have to go off site, to places that are less inclusive, and users who don't want to discuss or even think about the game are bombarded with negative thread after threadIf you ban these games, then everyone on Era has to go off site to more hostile places to get info on or discuss these games.Either way, a clear and unwavering policy needs to be laid out by the staff, in an easy to see place, so everyone is clear on the sites stance, before the next controversial game dropsIf Era would rather ban discussion and send people away from the site, to places that are much more hostile to minorities, then by all means, ban away. If they'd rather contain the discussion here, where members can safely discuss the game and any issues with it, then that needs to be communicated so it doesn't breed contempt and pettiness.
Members of the media reading an Era email or ten about the bad faith mods on their video game message board. Dear God please happen.
Era definitely loses a lot of perspective when it comes to issues of class and the job market. It seems impossible for people to simply... not brag about how well their life is going; to just shut up for a while and not make other people feel inevitably jealous and/or depressed at their situation. It's all well and good to be "aware!" that you're privileged but, well, that doesn't mean you have to talk about it. As someone who's been working in a Supermarket this entire time: I know about all of this. I've had plenty of customers who are simultaneously "aware" enough to take the pandemic seriously but not aware enough to see how bragging to me about their successful job might not be that welcome.
Plum still going great I see.Inevitably jealous
It's fine to be bitter sometimes. Even if it's not 'their fault' it's still not necessary for them to talk about their privileged experiences. Personally it's grown really tiring seeing so many otherwise liberal-minded people act as if working-from-home is this thing that most of us can, and are, doing. I doubt it's intentional, but it needs to be called out sometimes because, well, the comfy work-from-home crew is not the one that needs all that much, if any, attention right now.I mean personally it's hard not to be a bit bitter when you're in a job that pays poorly, is constantly public-facing, and doesn't even get the prestige of other 'essential workers.'
I think we should take this to the Media, maybe the staff will take real actions then.
The sad thing is Kotaku will likely do some shitty piece on it.

As the NeoGAF user Peltz pointed out in a thread that has since been deleted, many of the forum’s regular participants were upset not just about the allegation, but about how Malka handled the situation. “If he allowed the criticisms to flow and responded humbly, then this community would still be strong,” wrote Peltz.
After less than a day, ResetEra already appears to be faster and more lively than the current NeoGAF board. The group that founded ResetEra say they set it up as an LLC, and that no single person will be in charge of the site, which they hope will prevent the same catastrophe from happening again.

Office of prosecutor Fatou Bensouda said it cannot act on the complaint because China is not a signatory to The Hague-based court.
The ICC only counts if you're part of it. Boy is that a way out of the whole thing. Should be added to op.I know I was under the impression that ICC had some sort of global reach. If you don't participate in it, then you're seemingly free to genocide.

Gaming side is pretty terrible in regards to a lot of things.
I Boycotted CDPR a long time ago, specifically for the attitude towards trans people but I wonder if this is worth discussing? How do people feel about a trans character being voiced by a trans voice actor in the game?https://twitter.com/BookwormElf/status/1338558935150829568
For them to speak would be to show their hand (Or some other nonsensical philosophical debate bullshit.)Nah, they don't give a fuck about us. They're just hoping other members run us off the forum, 'cause it would make their jobs easier. The excuse of "they're busy" makes no sense when trans people and those who support us are getting locked out and banned near-instantaneously.
technically literature members
