I sincerely hope things are better for the employees now.

Yes, when you work retail they lock the door after close so customers can't walk in. Every position would have closing tasks after the store closes. No one just walks out at close.

with what happened yesterday, he was removed from his home and not allowed further contact with his mother, and with no job and no money and no one on the face of the earth willing to take him in now, he's likely going to be living out of his car

people monitoring his situation notice he's suddenly got $750 sent to him from his mother

when questioned, he lies about this and says she didn't send him anything, then later fesses up and says he has access to her accounts and was planning on paying her back after having some fun at the mall(?)

since then they've been even more protective of him, there have been legit action plans in place for how best to help him when his mom eventually dies and he'll be homeless

most recently they were making an honest attempt to help him earn some money for a trip to a convention he wanted to go on, and it was all going really well, there was hope that things were starting to work out

I always got to heard of him essentially through people making fun of him (or outright trying to fuck with him) and someone as mentally "vulnerable" as him being a massive lolcow, could only end up in disaster, from my (limited) vantage point.

Dude, Null just sold sliver coins with Chris image a month ago, explicitly to help the site that at this point is way beyond documenting Chris.

But at what point this “help” becomes enabling they worst instincts. WhIle I said that I think Chris would still be in a bad place even if the Internet let they be, the Trolls also enabled some of his worst stunts, even if there were different sub factions it was always about getting a reaction out of him. Well, her labor estimations were a bit off, so I spent about 13 hours total...helping load her 2 bedroom apartment into the truck, driving the truck across state lines, and unloading the truck. My net compensation? $20. No food throughout the day, a few bottles of water, and that was it.

Told her that was insulting. She dropped me off and left immediately after, saying nothing. That was an insulting amount, right?

She probably didn't think her brother expected to be paid an hourly wage for helping a family member move.
