bork lives in atlanta, right? traffic there is  :stahp

It sucks so bad and is only getting worse and worse every year.  Can't stand it.
:rage
Georgia also hampers ATL's mass transit efforts.

The US's car obsession is annoying.  Visiting foreign countries with decent metros is always a revelation for me. The US only really has NYC in this regard.

The US is in her college sorority years. The too-drunk-to-know-the-difference-between-actual-rich-boys-and-their-sleazy-frat-brothers years, the thinking-about-her-future-but-might-as-well-get-all-the-freaky-sex-out-of-my-system years, the definitely-meets-the-definition-of-a-binge-drinker years, but she’s down that rabbit hole deep enough that there’s no way out until she hits rock bottom. In other words, the odds of Trump’s re-election are near 100%.

You're gonna have a rough time in France  :-*

For a non American you seem very American. With your selfish, cutting "got mine", "you're lower than me" type values. You'd fit in with the cesspit.

Your argument about language is frankly stupid. I have talked to many non Americans online over the years. Swedish people and Germans and Saudis who have barely even been to America yet spoke the language very well. Hell, take Duckroll. Dude is Singaporean and has better English than you. Yet to my knowledge has never lived in America beyond a visit.

Your ignorance is palpable and very American. By all means move to America. You'd fit in.

Wait, what does visiting America have to do with speaking English? There's like fifty countries with it as the official language, it's still the primary international language, it's the secondary language for most of the globe due to the British Empire, etc.

The French aren't known for being selfish, judgmental assholes or anything :lol

I am not talking about that kind of judgemental.

Right now my Facebook is full of people saying how it's too extreme to have universal healthcare while passing around fake calculators bemoaning how people are going to "steal" to get to basic care. That's America. The rugged individualism that expounds no virtue towards extending their neighbor so long as they got theirs.

America is a broken, selfish pit of a country. Flint proves it. BLM proves it. The fact they bailed out the rich during a great recession proved it. The endless wars. The endless excuses. The lack of progress. Trickle down. "Why should I pay a price for people that aren't alive?" Nothing gets done because money trumps all. It seeps into every facet of America. From our predisposition towards mediocrity and just "getting the job done" to the upper echelon of politics.

America is trash.

Lol America is the most charitable country in the Western world

And yet it's also a country where people need to do gofundmes to get medical care. And yet mainstream sentiment is,"we can't do that here."

In almost every case, Americans only care about themselves.

It infests itself from every layer of society. Which is precisely how we got to such a broken society to begin with.

I refuse to pretend my grievances with America aren't genuine and you can continue to defend it. You can also pretend my crticisims of America came out of nowhere. When anyone that has talked to me for any length of time - esch, Oscar, Exodus - knows that my anti-American sentiment has been bred for a long time. This is just me finally acting upon it.

CIA telling MLK to kill himself.

Fuck America.

Fuck America.

People being fired because of medical emergencies and other dubious reasons.

A state that posits police defend property and not the citizens.

Wanting to raise the minimum wage or make it livable? You shouldn't be working those jobs in the first place apparently.

Idk I went to Rome about 12 years ago and the traffic was wilder than anywhere I'd ever been to in the US, including driving through Atlanta and NYC. Perhaps influenced by how there apparently are no such things as traffic laws over there.

Taxi ride to the airport in Rome was the scariest ride I've ever been on.  My mom was freaking out the whole time- it was like something out of a sitcom.  Dude ignored all the traffic lights and just floored it.  :lol

I would rank France about equally as bad as the US in terms of foreign policy. Vietnam, Algeria, the Suez crisis, Libya, the way it treats other members of the Eurozone... what they did to Thomas Sankara :tocry

nice little social democracy though. if you want a higher minimum wage and strong labor laws you could always consider CALIFORNIA

Unfortunately there's no perfect option here. Canada's history and present with Native Americans is especially heinous. As far as I'm concerned picking any Western country will not be free of imperialism as it is baked into their cultures. However, from what I see, they're still far better off than America.

The naysayers in this thread are being ridiculous- if Cindi wants to go try living in another country, there's nothing wrong with it, it's not an 'impossible' thing to do, and it's not like she can't move back to the States anyway if she does it and doesn't like it.

Yes, absolutely- I went to Japan a couple of times and studied there for a month before I decided I wanted to go move there.  Also took classes all throughout college and it definitely helped to be able to get around and do things some of the other foreigners couldn't without assistance from English speakers.

But visiting a country and living there are different experiences too.  You're most likely not going to experience the negatives when doing the former.

It's not to escape. It's because I legitimately dislike America. I do not want to stay in the future and I think the reasons inhsve given should suffice. If people can move to Japan and be English teachers simply because they are weebs, my protest of America as a country should be treated with respect.

Scratch that, moving to Azerbaijan is my new goal. They basically lifted the entire German civil law, plus it‘s a crooked banana republic style dictatorship, so there is money to be made. :success
FACT CHECK: "Since the latest presidential elections, Ilham Aliyev’s rating and voter confidence has increased according to the survey result conducted by “Opinion Way” company in April 2019. His activities have been evaluated as “positive” by more than 85% of the respondents."

Kinda curious that the most qualified candidate turned out to be the son of the former president.

Bork the naysayers are like that because they're American where people only know how to cut down. Like I said before, selfish. If my friend said they wanted to leave I'd be supportive. Crabs in a bucket: the country. The responses actually give me more reason to leave as it reminds how Americans are really like.

You know this thread was made with a faulty premise to begin with. The odds of Trump winning in 2016 were completely wrong and you can't trust them this time either.
Another failed Occam project, just like his eugenics plan.
