well you're not exactly wrong, they are burning money like crazy and their profits aren't exactly impressive compared to their market cap, but 100 million is still peanuts to them...

Did Donald Trump plan his Mt Rushmore rally first or were people protesting it beforehand which made him decide to go to Mt Rushmore for a rally?

I do not like the idea of Trump using Mt Rushmore as a backdrop to a rally. I also do not like the idea of people protesting Mt Rushmore. Trump, a fascist, will use Mt Rushmore protests as protests against America's greatest presidents, which he will use as evidence that the protesters are anti-American. Considering it's July 4, there's a real possibility he could garner sympathy and he might make a comeback.

This legit frightens me. Trump is an existential threat. I've supported the protesters and protesters, burning down the police precinct, but Mt Rushmore? I'm legit scared his prospects will improve because of it. Mt Rushmore is certainly a case of prior white supremacy as it is on stolen land. However, Trump and his surrogates exist as present white supremacy.

They must be stopped.

All of Trump's biggest recent photo ops (in front of the church, addressing West Point grads, holding a rally) have ended in humiliation.

Even if it all went absolutely perfect for him, there'd be another controversy/scandal within 72 hours and we'd all forget it.

Has there been any followup reporting on the last shooting in the CHOP before it got dismantled? Saw that the kid who died got identified, but nothing else besides that and the initial reports.

The push for those bills ended when Heather Heyer was run over, but it was a good representation of the rightwing id. You could still get bumper stickers with "jokes" about running over protesters.

It was a response to earlier BLM protests and the anti-Trump protests after he was inaugurated.

The wild thing is that these bills would specifically only apply if someone was blocking the road to protest or demonstrate. So someone would have different liability for hitting a pedestrian based on that pedestrian's political actions. Even in these fucked up times, that stands out.
