I want to buy a ball cap of a sports team, but I know nothing about sports. I do know some fans of teams have rivalries with other fans of teams, so I don't want to buy the wrong cap.

Which team really kind of just, flies under the radar, never arouses anger or resentment?

I will admit: nothing has consistently pissed me off more on the floor of any job I've had than someone always asking me to do something I know very well they can do, whether it's retrieving materials, helping a customer, working a queue in the system, whatever.

It's one thing to where shit is backing up and we need to refocus, or we've done a lot of work over the hours and are rechecking what needs to be done. Or if it's an every-now-and-again "Yo, can you pass that pen for me?" But folks asking me multiple times daily to do basic tasks for them, as if I also don't have work to do, send me up the fucking wall. It's just my nature; if I need something done within the confines of my task I just do it myself. I've got arms and legs; I don't need you to physically do my job for me. So my initial judgement in these scenarios becomes "Why are you so lazy that you can't do it?"

At that point I feel like you're taking advantage of my work ethic and kindness. On top of that, it also puts you in a weird position because it's difficult to counter these kinds of requests and not be an asshole. How do you come across as a team player by going "No, I'm not doing that for you?" I haven't found a way to work around these kinds of coworkers in an amicable manner that keeps the atmosphere jovial, so usually I become the office pack mule. However, I've had one pharmacist take me to the side and ask me "why are you doing everything for them?" and I almost broke down because I had basically running the shop alone for weeks at that point.

That's probably why your coworkers never told you about that specific problem to your face. No one wants to be the jerk that doesn't cooperate with others.

I actually suggested the Mets in that thread Yankee fans kinda think they are insignificant so they can't muster up any vitriol toward them, most of the rest of the country just consider them an underdog who occasionally has 'miracle' seasons and who doesn't love an inspirational sports story? I guess Phillies fans may give you a dirty look but Philadelphia sports fans just hate everyone

It’s absolutely in lieu of hiring someone.  If you give someone a shift it’s gotta be at least 4 hours or that person probably isn’t going to waste their time, especially in this labor environment.  This place seems to only need a little bit of extra help so the owner doesn’t want to have to pay for hours he doesn’t really need, not to mention pay roll tax and things of that nature, just to get the hour he does.  I can’t imagine this is doing that store any favors at all.
