Apparently I was nice to the judges son during grade school soccer and her son thought I was one of his few friends(?) The judge saw how hard I had tried during probation and ruled to extend probation another 2 years with a review after 8 months of unsupervised probation.
I did have to do 3 days in a jail. Only three days jail but the jail said fuck it, leave him in a holding cell for less paperwork. I was in there for 72 hours. No books, no tv, no clocks, no coffee, no toothbrush, and permanent harsh fluorescent lights with only my 2 inch plastic mattress as personal space. A holding cell/drunk tank means you can get 4-5 other guys in there.
It was like being bed ridden in a hospital for 72 hours but no books or lights dimmed. I wrapped my blanket tightly around my head and pretended I was on a long distant flight or long car trip. I would often re-embark into consciousness thinking I was indeed on that plane or car. It was not so bad and I was actively erasing my memory of the last boring minutes. During the 72 hours there I can only recall about 25 minutes. It was like experience time in the heat death of the universe.
So not bad. I was resigned to going to jail and thought I deserved it so I didn't fight it. Once I realized I kinda like life outside of jail I asked for clemency and the DA and judge apparently agree.
seriously mr mac user did you manage to get out of the jail time or you choose to spend your time here during laptop hours?
I would have indeed spent my time in here for the ERA Digest it provides
