I'm flying out in a couple days, so I'm coordinating with my dad on whatsapp. He's had to call me twice using his regular line to get in touch with me and sort out of stuff on various matters ... I mean I obviously have my ways to be in touch with discord, snap, etc .... But for old people and a ton of other people it's just regular sms and these data plans dont come cheap .... Privileged "Muricans" and people who dont really rely on whatsapp for their main source of communication are really showing their ignorance ..... It's shameful coming from era. A ton of ignorance and dismissals by privileged people who don't know that whatsapp being down in certain regions is entirely crippling to businesses and regular people. Whatsapp is the main form of communication for a ton of businesses, medical, govt and even personal related stuff. A lot of poorer people, like manual laborers, maids, people in construction where I live around (asia) use whatsapp as their main form of communciation with their families and what not. The people dismissing this or laughing at this should be embarrassed.
