I dont have a problem with this as soon as everyone gets their share, with women and LGBT+ artists being able to do the same.
Now, when they say "as soon as everyone gets their share", what do they mean exactly?
In February 2022 a Gallup poll reported that 7.1% of US adults identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender. 34.6% of LGBT respondents were lesbian or gay, 56.8% were bisexual, 10.0% were transgender, and 4.3% identified as something else. LGBT identity was significantly higher among younger generations (20.8% of Generation Z and 10.5% of Millennials) than older generations (4.2% of Generation X, 2.6% of Baby Boomers, and 0.8% of those born before 1946).
As far as I am concerned, LGBT+ people are well over-represented in artistic pursuits, particularly video game creation and film/TV. So, how about we dial back on the attention that only 7.1% of people in the US get and be fair and reasonable when it comes to representation.
