He hasn't said shit to me, so I ask him about it. Apparently the gf is already packing her stuff in anticipation, my wife knows, but nobody has said shit to me.

I feel like I've been a good dad, he wants for nothing, yet here we are, I'm never in the fucking loop because he's scared to hear what I think, and then he just starts crying when I do bring anything up.

I can't even look at him right now. Whatever, move out with a month out pay under your belt in a shit economy, don't listen to any advice I might offer because I'm not your girlfriend. Maybe just tell me what's happening before you're loading up the car though.

Sometimes it does feel like mass persuasion is still the stuff of science fiction, especially since the Cambridge Analytica controversy ended up being all smoke, but instances like this really highlight that it’s possible today.
