Fucking hell did i watch the same trailer as era here? What the fuck the game is so oversexualized. The main character puposefully aims their boobs to the camera and they jiggle when shooting. Holy fuck balls it turned me totally off this game. Two female characters as skimpy as can be and one dude in a full fucking hazmat almost. Goddamn the not even really calling this out on the first two pages is pretty abhorrent.

As someone who is 27 and slowly starting to see the beginnings the deterioration of friendships... It really fucking sucks that the way society operates is in expectation of you starting a family. Otherwise get fucked.

I'd much rather spend the rest of my life not in a relationship but with friends who I can hang out with even just once a week or every few days, and maybe go on the occasional trip with. But nope. Get a SO or be alone forever as everyone else leaves you to only be with their SO/kids.

What are people talking about with calling these character designs silly or unrealistic?  Like...attractive people exist?  This isn't some bonkers proportions. You can see people that look like this irl.

Attractive people do in fact exist. But do you know what these characters don't have, that attractive people do have? Agency.

The character wasn't born with fortunate genetics; didn't grow up with a healthy diet; didn't wake up that morning and decide to put on a fucking skin-tight suit that accentuates her tits jiggling unnaturally when she fires her gun.

Artists did that, after meetings with an art director, who works with, or in some cases for, a department entirely dedicated to maximizing the engagement of the product, for the sake of selling the aesthetics of the biggest creative crutch in gaming history -- the conventionally attractive female form -- to a bunch of little men to whom looking at this trailer is the closest they've been to pussy since birth.

It's not about representing an attractive woman; just... immediately clear your mind of that misconception if you actually believe that they drew this character for the purpose of making an extremely conventionally attractive young asian woman feel more seen, because I can promise you, without even a single hint of doubt, that this was not the case.

Moreover that also applies to your characters in One Piece that you seem to like over there. Though, I suppose those don't even have the serendipity to look like human beings at all.

-ridiculous costumes (they were jogging so they were wearing skimpy athletic gear that was form fitting and showed ample skin)
-absolutely gratuitous 'fighting' moves (they were jogging so weren't really able to show off their fighting moves--they looked like they would do some sort of boxercise class though, so it is a possibility)
-dialogue that makes not the tiniest lick of sense (what can I say...women talk a lot of shit that doesn't make sense)

LOL! "Attractive people" is a fun phrase for anime sex doll.

People are taking about these awful characters while the world and enemy design looks fucking incredible. It's very too bad. Even the male characters look interesting as hell. It's purely transparent sexual design

I think she has a cool design regardless of sexiness and doesn't seem to have ridiculous proportions or anything. She's in shape I guess but I wouldn't expect her to be sliding around and slashing away with a big beer belly or something. Also should there just never be attractive women in games?
