The game sold over 20 million copies.  It's been in a perma-redemption arc since release, even w the bugs and shit computer performance from initial release.

Thing is, ERA is the only place I've seen that even thinks CP 2077 has "issues" with transphobia. Even places you'd think would agree with ERA, like Polygon and Kotaku, don't even talk about it. This entire thing about CP 2077 being so transphobic that everything about it needs to be shuttered into a single thread is completely driven by a small, loud subset of users on ERA.

If an IP is so transphoic that it needs to be isolated into perpetuity, why even allow it on the forum? Why not just ban it?

Literally every publisher and studio in the industry is guilty of misogyny and sexism. There isn't a single one that hasn't had someone come forward against them. Ubisoft, Riot, Insomniac, Microsoft, Naughty Dog, the list goes on and on and on. Big publishers and independent developers both. This is systemic across the entire industry. Banning just one publisher/studio and not all of the others sends a message that we only care about this when it gets particularly bad. It's wholly unacceptable regardless of who does it.

Banning just Acti/Blizz sends the message that it's just them that's the problem. They aren't the only ones. It's everyone. Every game we enjoy is tainted by this, there is no getting around that or minimizing it. This is why we pointed people towards charities to help women because this is a systemic problem. You cannot pretend it's just Acti/Blizz because it isn't. You don't get to write this off as just a single studio or publisher.

Neoxon's made a pretty obvious thread to get an online mob going and is using the guy's alleged autism as a shield. But people are catching on and calling them out.....

The thing is, generally when these types of threads are made about a person (influencer, twitch streamer, twitter user, youtuber, whatever) its mainly just so people can drag the person and express their very vocal disdain for the type of heinous shit they are saying. Its not to afford those people with the opportunity to "realize the error of their ways" or learn/grow from it, especially because unless I'm missing something this particular person does not post here, so im not really sure how that is accomplished.

I'm gonna be honest, given the pretty small size of the streamer, I don't really see how these threads are suppose to "help" the dude in any way. Unless you specifically want rando's calling the dude out then airing out this stuff in a public forum is going to the exact opposite from getting the dude to see the error of his ways.

Like I get you want to help the guy but this isn't exactly gonna help him in any way shape or form. Public call outs are not helpful in attracting empathy

Threads like this make me want to pull my hair. No Cuba is not a democracy. That's pretty disappointing to read. I've noticed that sometimes when you have a negative interaction with some posters, suddenly a bunch of people will crawl out of the woodwork to have a go at you. I've on a few occasions questioned how "organic" that kind of thing is.

You'd think that having hate sites targeting us would make users here know better, but sadly I keep having to remind myself that we're not that different from the rest of the internet. And yeah, I speak as someone guilty of sometimes (read: too often) taking potshots at posters when I too should know better.
