Of course they would make their games exclusive to their platform if that benefits them the most, but that is not the point. The point is that they don’t have their own platform and thus the games stay multiplatform. The allegations aside I’ll take this type of consolidation (doesn’t have to be Tencent) over gobbling up third party IP as exclusives any day. No one is suggesting that Tencent would somehow operate differently if they had a console than any major company.
