still refuse to admit the satanic panic prosecutions were wrong. People falsely accused of that died in prison or still were unreleased into the 2010s. How many other panics that led to mass wrongful convictions do I need to bring up? And they seriously believe it's somehow worse
now because they can imagine it worse in the paranoid future they all desire?
What other violence should I bring up? The anti-abortion bombings? Maybe the armed battles with the militia movement? Should we go all the way back to when bombings were happening constantly in the 1970's? How about
bombings against federal government buildings in the 1980's including the Capitol?
These reactionaries have been around forever, always absolutely sure that humanity's growth was going to come to a permanent end right now during the most important time (their life obviously) and consequences would never be the same. I was just reading something regarding one (
John Gray) in the 1990's complaining in an endless number of books about how even though things were better and safer than ever he just
felt society was fraying "at the seams" due to the "lack of meaning" in life and about to collapse into endless warlordism since that's just what you do when some hierarchy isn't directing your life and your basic needs are met economically. Looking at Wikipedia apparently this is
still his thing. Thankfully, he had the solution and what do you know, it was a totalitarian state run by a bunch of people who were all John Gray. He's totally different from Messofanego and ResetERA.com's radical levellers though since he considers himself a conservative or whatever the fuck.
