Yeah, the manufacturer themselves might be guilty of a distortion of truth, but it's common knowledge that aluminum bats are "better" for hitting, and as you point out in that thread it's been backed up by countless studies. I doubt them "placing warnings on the product" would have made any difference, as the Little Leagues and NCAA are well aware of the risks and continue to allow them. If the Consumer Product Safety Commission themself issued a warning over 30 years ago (in which time aluminum bats have only been improved) and their use has remained ubiquitous virtually everywhere except for the MLB, there are more people at fault here than the makers of the bat. It's just another civil suit supported by a bullshit technicality. Too bad their son is gone and Hillerich & Bradsby still isn't required to "adequately warn about the dangers", but hey, at least they cashed in on their kid's death.
