The only issue I had with Uncharted 2 was that it was a linear shooter, and even the best linear shooter is still just a linear shooter. Even though I thought Far Cry 2 had a ton of problems, I probably liked that more. Uncharted 2 is way better than other similar games, but it's still just a style of gameplay I enjoy, and it doesn't compare with more open shooters like Far Cry 2, Crysis, etc for me. I think why I enjoyed Uncharted 2 more was partly because it had a superficial sense of freedom by using stealth and platforming to better move around the level and stuff like that.
I certainly think Galaxy belongs up there though, considering it's my favorite Mario game. Number 2? Well, it was for me, but in general that's a bit odd.
I don't think so. Galaxy is a flawless game and the only argument against it, and I mean if you really want to be a boner, is the lack of any good multiplayer (another guy collecting star bits doesn't count).
And even though I'd say OoT is my favorite game for nostalgia reasons (and the only time I will accept defeat to the younger me) it isn't the best game of all time. wtf. These lists shouldn't be about important games either, it should be about good games. Standards do change despite what 8-bit fetishists say. Also, Metroid Zero Mission is awesome and just as good as Super Metroid, yet it doesn't appear on the list at all because the kiddies love their nerd canon.
ok, reading more of the list, it's a mix of nostalgia and fish memory
