Well, the thing is, they said official threads go up 2 weeks before. That's why I did it.

The two preview threads blew up in the space of a few days.  If we kept your official thread, it would be 1000 posts or more long by the time it came out, and I (and others) wouldn't want to wade through dozens of pages of Nintards saying OMG ZELDA I CANT WAIT to see what the actual gameplay impressions look like.  A new official thread would've had to have been made the day of release.

I'm no fan of the gaf community, but they have some industry posters and I am drawn to that.  A month or so ago I was banned for saying I'd rather not support microsoft, which I qualified by saying I probably would as I'm very interested in a number of 360 games (mistwalker).  I created a new account and wrote a rather large pm to the mod that banned me, acknowledging that she would be in her rights to perma ban me for creating a second account to pm her but calmly and rationally explaining to her why my post, which was relevant, not flame bait, and very much on topic, was in no way ban worth, and why the practice of banning for expressing a distaste in a large corporation was dangerous.  Of course I was permabanned, I expected no less, but damnit I was annoyed.

edit: that having been said, I'm not sure this forum is for me either...too bad and no offense
