TBH anything but a couple of indie showcases were very poor this year. The PS5 one was ok i guess, but didn't exactly fire me up to spend 500€ on the thing. This pseudo E3 sucked balls.

This is the dumbest next gen launch ever, the killer app of this year was always going to be a game that was announced like 8 years ago lol

This next generation is so awful that you can just buy the same big games on existing platforms. At least in the past you had those killer apps but now they hardly even bother with those. Maybe I’m getting too old but none of these new systems have anything compelling.
what next gen games only are gonna be ready at launch anyway
But the Switch is still priced like a ps4 I mean a ps4 is probably cheaper

Maybe I’m getting too old but none of these new systems have anything compelling. They've already sunk so much into R&D, pre-allocated money to marketing, etc, they're counting on sales in that quarter on their books in order to even possibly be able to make their projections, even accounting for These Troubled Times™So, basically it's just that they're huge multi-national corporations and are too far along in the process to consider holding off a year. The REAL reason is that they could have fucking done so years ago because they probably had a good idea this was the year for a new console launch and instead didn't bother to line up any real AAA first party launch titles. Sony through shitty timing, MS through incompetence and not knowing what gamers want (ffs they think Halo Infinite is a AAA launch title brehs)
Honestly, Halo SHOULD in theory be a bigger deal than any of the crap that Xbone launched with. It's just that Halo as a franchise has eroded in prestige in the past 7ish years.Overall this lineup does look weaker than the Xbone lineup, which is hilarious because the xbone lineup was so thin that you felt compelled to list two utter pieces of trash in your list of five titles that were noteworthy for some reason (reason: nintex)

Deadly Towers was the cover art that got me the worst. I spent all my birthday money buying that game and was sick of it within 24 hours.https://www.mobygames.com/game/nes/deadly-towers/cover-art/gameCoverId,152375/
Brave Fencer Musashi did everything first and better.
