apparently the guy who got it early found video calibration tools built in to the system. that's the coolest part of the xbox one. I had to switch between star wars dvds, pixar blurays, wipeout hd, and the halo 3 bonus dvd to get video and audio squared on my new TV.
everything else sounded normal. mandatory installs are worse than I expected, but most people install 360 games so w/e. the one known example is call of duty that needed 50% installed (~20 minutes) to start. since cod is something like 40 gigs it might be the worse case scenario.
