Instead of continuing on from the ending of the second movie of the trilogy, Skywalker immediately goes about retconning majority of TLJ, because those in charge panicked. These games are being published by THQ Nordic. For those who may not be aware or who may have forgotten, THQ Nordic had a marketing effort where it intended to gain attention using a website that is known primarily for its support of child pornography, as well as for support of Neo-Nazism, doxxing, and other extremely damaging behaviors.

The individuals involved posted under multiple accounts, a few of which being THQN_Phillip (PR marketing director), THQN_Reinhard (Business & Product Development Director/Executive Producer at THQ Nordic), and THQN_Fabian, where they openly responded to posts including homophobia, racial slurs, and content involving underage children. They continued responding to these awful posts with a tone of jocularity, even going so far as to agree with these users.

THQ Nordic has provided no response to this fiasco except for a very shallow apology claiming they did not do enough research. As the website is unlisted by Google, they spoke directly to the board owner about removing "nasty stuff". They had also liked a tweet saying that critics of their choice to have an AMA on that site were "sensitive Simons". They knew exactly what they were doing--this was an intentional choice.

THQ Nordic has not dealt with the individuals responsible, and they did little to refute their actions. Consider that by supporting their games, you are supporting a publisher that openly embraces all the horrible things that website stands for.

Just a reminder that THQ Nordic are proud supporters of neo Nazi's and pedophiles.
