Since it seems that first round of French mayoral election will hold though second round is TBD, here's the major bit about it :
- Even more massive than usual success for incumbents. This includes the far-right ones.
- Greens did well.
- In Paris which supposedly was to be contested, Socialist incumbent Anne Hidalgo is in the lead with 30%, Conservative Rachida Dati is at 22%. Macronist Agnés Buzyn is at 17% after having a lot of ideas on how to handle the Corona in Paris (that she didn't get through when she was the Minister of Health a few weeks ago). Hidalgo is in a good place though it will depend on alliance talks and merging lists before the second round.
