I agree with Elon here. Lot's of people 'working' remote but not very effectively (especially those with little experience in remote working).
Working together becomes a Tetris challenge of remote meetings where a lot is said and planned but little is done.
The end result is a lot of 'circling back' and missed milestones and deadlines and overall less team cohesion.
In my experience more stuff gets done at the office (unless someone works remote for a specific task and doesn't want to be disturbed).
Not to mention all the casual 'breaks' of doing the laundry, picking up packages or just running random errands.
Lots of people just aren't responsible or capable enough to plan their own work or their work/private life sort of starts to blend together which is not good for anyone.
