For a multiplayer shooter, framerate consistency is paramount. Given its relative visual parity with the PS4 release, Call of Duty: Ghosts is a more playable, slightly superior (albeit disappointing) game on Xbox One.

Resogun and Geometry Wars are fine games. But in either case neither are the reason I would drop 400 or 500 dollars on a console. They are fun games in addition to have with other stuff and fun to play in small short batches.I wouldn't buy a system if a decent shoot 'em up was the only game for it, but as long as I know there is something down the line that I also would get then I might as well get the system early. The price difference at launch and a year later is going to be close to $0.

Looks like fun, our master chief didn't do anything. The fuckers at my store didn't get any of the Pin editions of KI. I was told they would have it and it seems like all of the stores didn't get their copies. Mups did you see any? I had to wait till everyone got their consoles to get mine. I've got to move the 360's out so till then it sits in it's lovely black box. I ended up buying Zoo Tycoon since they said it was a Walmart exclusive game, but it was at the MS store. I also cancelled my Forza LE from Amazon since they had a few copies of that too. All in all it was a fun night, I got to pick the raffle prizes at the store.
Now to wait till Target opens so I can pick up my preordered Dead Rising 3's, Ryse, and a second controller. I picked up Swap force tonight at Walmart since it was 37 bucks, which is more acceptable for that kind of game. Couple that with the copy of ghosts, ac4, bf4, and 2 copies of rivals coming from EA tomorrow. And i'm going to be stacked with games to play for a good long while. I may even get Just dance 14 if Gamestop has it for $15 next week.

Forza is the only game that I would wanna play. Is it good?Played it last night and it was really fun. If you liked the other Forzas you'll like this one. The rumble in the sticks is actually really cool and I was driving around in a C3 Corvette and I have to say they really nailed the feeling (I own one IRL). I keep trying to find stuff that was on 360 - for example my "Queued List" of downloads.that's in the apps and games folder. You can change the queue order by hitting the start button and selecting install now. Its a bit confusing to me too but I'm getting the hang of it.

2.) Go to the Stream option between organize and create playlist. Click more streaming options.
3.) Check the allowed box for your xbox one. Should say something like Xbox-systemOS
4.) Click next and go to the next screen and make sure it allows sharing for music and videos.
6.) Now right click on any piece of media on your computer. You should see an option that says Play to: And then an option next to it that says Xbox-SystemOS. Select it.
7.) You'll get a little pop-up. Just hit the play button on it. Videos files will play via the Xbox Video player and music files will play via the xbox music player. So you should probably download those already if you haven't already on the xbox one.
Some files types aren't eligible. Like mkv's. I haven't tried any old of the old transcoding software to see if that works yet to handle those kind of files because I assumed it doesn't yet.

Some files types aren't eligible. Like mkv's. I haven't tried any old of the old transcoding software to see if that works yet to handle those kind of files because I assumed it doesn't yet.

Welp, that seals the deal for me. Not getting a new console until at least after the new year. If I can't easily talk and play with my friends I don't see why I'd get one.

This means you can complete Nightmare mode and start Story mode with the same character, or do Story mode to power yourself up for Nightmare mode. Glad I'm not the only one at least.The only system issues I have so far is that it seems like my system unpauses randomly. I'm guessing kinect is thinking someone is saying resume. I was playing DR3 last night and paused it and ran to go to take a piss. When I came back it was unpaused and I was getting mauled. This is the 2nd or 3rd time it's happened and I just assumed it was something I'd done before this but I wasn't even on the same floor in my home. So now I just go to the home screen and use the resume shit instead.

Mups its a known software issue not hardware related. I've had it happen a few times try doing a full shutdown and unplug the console for a minute. It shouldn't be a problem after you restart it. Halo Spartan Assault - I like this game as well. Even got a couple of gold stars without any kind of upgrades. The biggest beef I have with the game is this annoying glitch (at least I assume it is) where after you get off of a turret, you keep firing your weaponry until it runs out of ammo. It happens at random.

As I noted in my blog post about the December system update, we’ve changed the way these work on Xbox One to reduce the impact on our customers. For the vast majority of Xbox One owners who use “Instant On” (the low power state that allows you to instantly power up your console by saying “Xbox On”), the console automatically checks for updates when customers turn it off. This means now that we’ve made the February update available, the next time you turn your console off it will take the update during off-peak hours in your local time. All that to say, never fear you’ll see it sometime over the weekend. As a reminder, here are some of the features you’ll see in this update:
The ability to see and manage your storage space. With this update, you will find it easy to find how much space your content takes up and better manage your content. You can also control your install lineup and more easily manage your download queue. We’ve separated My Games and My Apps into separate lists, so you can easily create separate queues for both. Now you can pick the order in which you want your content to load and we’ve added a boot progress indicator so you can better track updates while they load.
The battery power indicator is back! You can see it right on the home screen, so you can easily track how much battery life is left on your controller.

Ryse is good, but its short and you can finish it if you rent or bum it from a MATE.
Dead Rising 3 is great. I spent $100 on it ($60 + $40 DLC).

For those of you that participated in last month’s (1403) update preview, this preview wave will be a little different:
The 1404 update preview will run a bit longer than the 1403 preview. As a result, not all of the features listed below will be available in the first 1404 update. Some features will be enabled in 1404 updates that are rolled out later in the preview.

Now, use Game DVR to capture epic gaming moments, edit them in Upload Studio, and, with the simple click of a button inside the YouTube app (look for My Uploads**), share them instantly to your YouTube channel. Just a heads-up but my day one controller started showing signs of controller drift yesterday while playing Titanfall. I tried it in other games and it was the same problem. The right analog stick would drift upwards. So I got in contact with Microsoft support and I just need to send mine in and they will send me a replacement controller. Just a post for anybody who may have the same issue.

It will only show as available when there is an update to take.

However a few of my games won't let me install them and now I can't play Peggle 2, Project Spark, or Xbox Fitness. At least I got the super helpful error code: 0x80072ee6.Mine did that as well. I did a hard reset and then everything worked again.

My headset is a 360 headset and it has a weird quirk where whenever I resume from sleep mode, my mic won't work but if I unplug the power and reboot it will work. Not sure why that is the case but its that way every time for me.I just started using the party function in the last week or so and i have this same issue with my headset.

The interface is a bit "meh" imo. It's a little too busy, and I'm not a fan of how there's a sub-menu for everything. Snap and the TV stuff is useless to me. I do like the activity feed, and how videos will auto-play if you highlight them.

Dude, spend $5 and give EA Access a try for a month. Right out of the gate you'll get to play BF4, NFS Rivals, Peggle 2, Fifa 14, and Madden 25. If you like it it's $30 a year, and they'll rotate in new games.For real?
