I didn’t particularly care for the campaign of GTAV. RDR2 I never finished. The mission design of the games isn’t for me. But just driving around the world is unmatched. Sleeping Dogs released near GTAV and I liked the campaign more. The actual open world part isn’t fair to compare. Same with Saints Row, Mafia, and whatever other open world games. Nobody does that part better.

I'm excited for it, but also know it will be broken as hell at launch. There were so many things wrong with GTA V at launch, and 10 times as many as that with GTA Online at its launch.

On later replays, it became clear how many things were not working in my first playthrough. It is a wildly accomplished game once it's working correctly.

I don't enjoy Rockstar games, so will probably pass, but they sure know how to sell their products.

I finally broke my Fortnite streak, and unsubbed from their monthly FN Crew package. I managed to rinse EVERY pass they have before renewal, and then I dipped.

I've gone back to Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands, or "Grand Theft Auto: Bolivia." It's a sprawling open-world game where everyone wants to kill me, just some are more determined than others. I played a bit when it came out, and despite the online, drop-in/drop-out four-player feature, it's MUCH EASIER to play with the computer as backup. On regular difficulty, it is simpler to have the AI rescue me. The times I played with my friends, the synchronized shooting mechanic as well as maintaining concealment were a joke.

I mean, literally, we were laughing so hard at our relative incompetence, we gave up after two sessions. It was full-on Keystone Kops.

I'm going it solo and it's fun, but I'm still in the shallow portion of the pool.
