It just needs a Genshiken season 3 and that should do it.

yeah, why they made Kujibiki Unbalance confuses me. I can now appreciate just how nerdy some of them really are, except Ogiue.

I picked it up from Deep Discount for $60 during their sale last month, though.

It's basically the anime version of The Right Stuff, except replace ruggedly-handsome military pilots with clearly moe-bait high school girls. On the whole it's actually a fairly decent series and is fun to watch. From the cover and description you know that you'll need to have at least some suspension of disbelief, and you're not wrong. Beyond the prerequisite underlying theme that any adversity can be overcome with a positive attitude and perseverance, it indicates that within just a few months average teenage girls can be trained to handle complex missions in space as well as Neil Armstrong, and not once but TWICE they manage to land the capsule in their high school's pool. However, it does provide a reasonably accurate presentation of what goes into astronaut training and the science of space travel, as well as how every mission is a hair's breadth away from disaster.
