Anyway, the only game to nail QTEs is RE4. Every other game is a sad pretender. Even the mighty God of War doesn't use them right. Inputting a long ass sequence of button presses and stick twirls every 5 minutes is no good. Every damn enemy should not have a QTE fatality. Every damn boss should not be 1 minute of spamming attacks and then a 30 second QTE sequence repeated 10 times.
You probably play games on Novice.
Trying to act like God of War is a simple hack and slash game isn't misguided or anything, but to act like you can get away with spamming the attack button on higher difficulty levels is extremely short-sighted if not disingenuous.
There's enough of a variety of enemies with plenty of strengths and weaknesses that dodging and parrying become half the fun in an already fluid and responsive combat system.
Getting through to the end of boss battles to be rewarded with a visual feast of a QTE is way more satisfying than some taco chanting "flawless victory".
Just go back to playing RE4 on Easy. You're probably good enough at it to play it on Normal by now, take a chance.
