The interesting thing is how he reacts when it comes to the Vietnam POWs that were not able to get out of the camps. He basically blows up and begins to berate the POW families.

Thanks for posting this. I love this clip so much, more than his convention speech even. The decision to forsake all the false outrage of American politics is at least party political but it feels so nice not to be condescended to for once.

On the community organizers thing: can you imagine the shitstorm if someone had been that dismissive of soldiers? I don't have much of a point besides Palin and Rudy being dicks and our country being creepily militarized.

I just really dont get how they can say Obama is about big govt, then suggest that the efforts of community organizers are silly. If anything suggests big govt to me, its belittling things like community organizers.

Something close to what youre thinking was echoed in something else I read today. Sadly i've been skimming through all of it so quickly im pretty bad at citing sources. I agree with you, but i'll add to the idea that I don't think Palin has ever lived anywhere that required that kind of effort. Its a pretty typical small-town (lol) mentality that could easily develop while governing a state so far removed from the reality of 48 other states.
