In Jurassic Park II, when they are taking the T-Rex to the States, what ate the crew on the boat as the T-Rex was still in the cargo hold?   I've always felt weird about that part.

The Visitor - I know him as the dad from Step Brothers. I've probably seen him in other films/tv. Good movie, though.

Unbreakable - 2nd time seeing it, and it holds up. Part of me wishes there was more crime fighting, but it wasn't really needed TBH. Mr. Glass :bow

The Story of Riki-Oh
Why did I wait so many years to see this?  WHYYYYYYYY!?

quite simply the best splatter/kung-fu film I've ever seen.  And sometimes its even funny on purpose.  It rocks, especially if you're seeing it in a sleep deprived state.

Others speculated it was raptors before they left the island.

It was supposed to be a disease right? I think they hint at something similar in the book.

Spiderwick Chronicles - well produced, enjoyable little family movie, but the acting is pretty bad which makes the ABC Family style sap all the worse. I was also a bit surprised over some of the violence, those goblins don't have it easy.

The baby T-rex was on another boat, as it was already at the facility when the boat with the eaten crew came.
Raptors might be plausible because they would be smart enough to get on and then off again.

I think someone needs to wright Spielberg about this.  I would do this but I don't want to be the inspiration for a movie about someone with a learning overcoming their problem for the sake of sending a letter to a hero.

'tyson' -- an excellent and revealing doc on kid dynamite... showed some classic footage as well, definitely worth a DL

'the uninvited' -- decent horror flick, girls are hot, solid twists and turns, worth a DL if you've got nothing else to do

Quantum of Solace

CAR CHASE
FOOT CHASE
ROOF CHASE
BOAT CHASE
CAR CHASE
FOOT CHASE
PLANE CHASE

That basically sums up the action which was quite boring. You could see the Bourne similarities in the fighting scenes but not one fight stood out to me in any way. In fact I thought the intrigue/plot parts were far more interesting than the fight scenes; things improved once the movie had a chance to catch its breath before jumping into another extravagant action piece. The whole Quantum organization was a giant cock tease, I'm guessing the next movie will delve more into it. Which hurt this movie because the villain was just an eviler version of Al Gore, with bad teeth. That fight scene at the end - with him swinging an axe while muttering like some Asian assassin from a bad Batman movie - was so laughable. Plus the Bond girl's revenge story was almost copy and pasted from Kill Bill lol. At least she was hot

a weak 3 out of 5

Crank High Voltage

holy hell i loved this. even more than the original. which is one of my favorite movies.  features a stripper getting her fake boobs deflated by a bullet, jason statham's balls, undead crank 1 anti heroes, some guy cutting off his own nipples, a godzilla-esque fight scene and much more. but what a shitty ending

How To Lose Friends and Alienate People

somewhat boring and very disappointing film.  i only saw it because pegg was in it

Snakes on a Plane

looked promising until it got to the actual snakes.  the shitty cgi was so bad i had to turn it off

Lakeview Terrace

much better Samuel Jackson film than snakes.  and a fucking awesome movie in general.  probably in my top 20

Punisher War Zone

even though im not a fan of superhero comics i really liked this.  very violent.  and features mcnulty from the wire getting his face melted off

Trainspotting

loved it, for obvious reasons :D

She also likes Dude, Where's My Car? ??? I don't think she saw Catwoman, though...

I can also confirm that my dad read through Battlefield Earth. All 1000+ pages of it. And his copy is the one with John Travolta on the cover. And he likes Hot Shots Part Deux. And I saw that one with him in the theaters, I remember that...  :-\

my roommate talked me into watching Hotel for Dogs, saying "it was really good and not just a kids movie"

I don't like forward to her asking my opinion of the movie. I can say... the dogs were good actors.

BUT I did find an amusing IMDB review

Quote
3 out of 5 people found the following comment useful :-
good film, 6 February 2009
10/10
Author: Gurpal Johnson from United Arab Emirates

this movie is deserving of an Oscar...Don Cheadle should be nominated for best supporting actor for his truly moving performance. All the other actors were also worthy of praise. this movie shall revolutionize cinema as we know it. We need a sequel to this epic story. like lord of the rings, but with a higher budget...and Peter Jackson needs to direct it. Not often do i watch a film and find myself questioning how i treat animals. I was inspired buy this film to open my own animal sanctuary. This film is better than the dark knight. i said it! It was as close as we will ever get to Hotel Rwanda 2.

Crank 2: High Voltage - 4.5/5  It was everything from the original Crank and more. It somehow managed to be even more over the top and crazy than the first one. I still liked the first one more, though.

Wasn't able to finish seeing The Spirit, so, yeah, it's bad.

Watched

Push

Think of it, as like a T.V film, and it's pretty awesome. It's sorta like Heroes, but i liked it more i guess, i was pretty entertained.

The Uninvited

It was actually a perfectly fine horror movie, entertaining, the blond chick is just flatout hot and beautiful, i was glued to the screen when she was on, good thing she uses a bikini a lot.  :D
