-The opening scene is said to be super-ridiculous, even for FF standards, with "car-fu" shit that is just unbelievably cheesy and impossible. Can't wait!
-Han's return is explained by ANOTHER retcon of his death scene- this has now been changed to show that Han was never even in the car that Deckard Shaw destroys. Instead, he was recruited by Mr. Nobody was watching his "death" with him on the street. Then he becomes an agent and has to pretend to be dead for whatever reason. Apparently all of this is just being explained via a voiceover from Kurt Russell(?) and they don't show who was in the car that got destroyed or if it was empty or whatever the hell it's now supposed to be.
-Jakob is never mentioned in the other movies because RETCON! In a flashback, before their father dies in a race, Jakob does something to the engine which makes his car lose control. Dom hates him and they have a race/falling out where the loser has to leave and never come back. This is retconned again by the end of the movie to make it so that Jakob was told to do this by his father (wat) because he had a bunch of debts and wanted to go out so his kids would have "better lives" (WAT).
-Jakob, in what is pretty much par for the course in these movies, gets a face turn of sorts at the end and drives off in a car Dom gives him. Presumably to return and be part of the family in the next two movies.
-Roman and Tej meet up with the Tokyo Drift crew
and modify a car with rockets so that they can go into space to destroy a satellite. They are then rescued by the ISS and make it back to earth for the end scene.
-There is a tribute to Paul Walker at the very end- they are all meeting up at Dom's house (wasn't it blown up in a previous movie?) for a barbecue and Dom mentions that they can't start eating because there's an empty seat. Then a car drives up (we don't see the driver) and he has a big smile. The end.
-Post credits has Deckard Shaw in a cameo. He answers the door and it's Han.
