I watched Inside Job last night, too. Nicely edited, good interviews (Mishkin going bu bu bu bu for 30 seconds) and Damon does a good job narrating. The ending shot and final scriptline is a bit much though. hehe
Also watched four docus at the film festival three weeks ago, the two most prominent ones being Tears of Gaza and Russian Lessons. Tears of Gaza is about the Israeli bombing campaign on Gaza in 2009, consisting of about 90% amateur footage and some interviews. This is more of a recruitment movie to the palestinian cause than it is a documentary, relies very heavily on inciting an emotional response. I usually like the more informative type of docus, so didn't enjoy this too much. Some crazy fucking footage in there though, but also some very unnecessary arranged scenes. Here's a trailer:

Russian Lessons is a docu by Andrei Nekrasov and Olga Konskaya about the war between Russia and Georgia in 2008. The two co-directors decide to get as close to the frontline as possible from opposite directions, eventually meeting up as the conflict ends, and interviewing people along the way. The film mostly deals with the disparity of the russian-controlled media reports with what actually happened, doctored footage and so on. But also details the history of ethnic cleansing in the area from the fall of the USSR until now, which became quite relevant with the recent terror bombing of Domodedovo Airport. One of the better documentaries I've seen in a while, really recommend it. I think the whole thing is up in parts on youtube, but it's in russian with georgian subtitles hehe. Oh well.
