I'm sure X-Men: First Class will be as good as Stardust and Kick-Ass. :teehee

Never saw either of them.

Never saw Wolverine, either.

Direction and (possibly) script look great, but just the cast of characters (as opposed to the cast itself) looks pretty lame.

Wasp wings, r u shitting me (not that it didn't work in the comics for that other character, hyuk)

Think I'll try to enjoy this, but with a grain of salt - might have some redeeming qualities.

About to watch Brick.  I'm worried it's gonna try too hard to be intelligent, but it sounds cool.

just watched this film called Sauna.  Fucking awesome.

Not really horror, more like dark fantasy.  Not scary at all but an amazing tone throughout.

The trailer was mostly good.  Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy scenes look great.  Kevin Bacon.  But this:

:piss :piss2

I like Matthew Vaughn's movies to the point where I own them on blu-ray.  I have faith that the movie will be good, if only in certain parts.

it is, but it can be hard to follow.

I couldn't put up with the dialogue style, turned it off after 10 minutes heh

Watched the Red Road instead.  Decent noir-ish thriller.  There's also a serious full frontal sex scene with some real carpet munching.  Had a hard time understanding Scottish English though and wished there were subtitles /stupid american :(

glad I'm not the only one who couldn't watch Brick.  The style and writing was so offputting.  I'm going to probably be bashed for this... but it felt Junoish.

Buried
Tense, interesting first half.  Boring, predictable and drawn out second half.  Also, enough with the heavy handed social commentary.  Jeez.

it felt like it was really trying to be the next Donnie Darko or something, but with noir/graphic novel style dialogue.  Instead of a hardboiled detective investigating the dirty underbelly of a city, it was a hardboiled loner kid running through high school social circles.  I might be too old to get into it.

Yeah, scratch my statement, you said it better.  I couldn't put my finger on it.  It almost felt like scott pilgrim to where I wondered if I was too old to get it (but I'm only 24!), but it wasn't even visually entertaining enough for me to sit through like scott pilgrim.  I turned it off after a few minutes, and said what the fuck was that shit.  I thought maybe I wasn't in the mood, so it's still in my instant queue but it's been like 3 months and I don't think I'll probably ever get back to it.

Scott Pilgrim: Not as bad as what I was insinuating from my trolling but it isn't a good movie by any means.  I think most people forgot about it by now except the most ironically inclined of the hipsters.  In 10 years, it will probably be at the status of movies like High Fidelity and Clerks: alternacrap that is appreciated only because of its somewhat mainstream release yet underground status.

I also think that Michael Cera is done -- Jesse Eisenberg is the superior of the two.  He has a better range than Cera and considering how old Cera is getting and considering his speciality (socially awkward teen), there isn't much left for him to do.  He needs to reinvent himself but unlike Robert Downey Jr., he can never reinvent himself to be cool.

The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard:  For some reason, this movie never registered on my radar until a few days ago.  A coworker told me about it being on Netflix and this outrageous scene with Will Ferrell.  I decided to check it out and the first thing that I noticed is that this movie is peppered with tons of my favorite B-list comedy actors.  Ving Rhames, David Koechner, Kathryn Hahn, Ed Helms, Ken Jeong, Rob Riggle, and Alan Thicke all have big roles in the movie along with a ton of others.  I actually laughed a lot at this movie.  Yes, it's a lot of humor that you'd find in movies like Talladega Nights and Anchorman, but that's what made it so great to me.

i discovered a recent adaption of Macbeth staring Patrick Stewart as Macbeth on Netflix.

It's a strange modernization that takes place in a pseudo WWII soviet era yet still uses all the classic dialogue and Irish names and location names. It's entertaining. Stewart definitely hams it up at times, especially during the Banquo ghost scene. If you're a fan of Macbeth it's worth a watch.

I half-caught Richard III w/ Ian McKellan in a 1930s fascist England. I thought it carried over pretty well, though I never really got into Shakespeare so most of the dialogue still flies over my head. I really only enjoy Shakespeare after it's been explained to me and I just nod along like a chimp.

Ride With The Devil is an excellent film which is and isn't about the bushwhacker and jawhawker guerrilla raids during the Civil War. Great performances all around, was surprised to find out Jewel can act (wonder why she hasn't done much since?).  Tobey Maguire actually has a personality in it.  Jeffrey Wright is awesome and understated in his part.  I've never understood why Skeet Ulrich never really took off as a leading actor, he's certainly got the charisma for it.

Eh, not really.  There's about 2 or 3 seconds of hotness (zoe sticks her fingers in mila's pussy and licks them) but it's mostly a bunch of crappy "look at me i'm so crass and blunt" dialogue from Mila.  Meh.  The best scene with the best writing is the first one.  The second one is okay with a bit of a cliche.  The rest are pretty garbage.

And no, not really.  There's a few seconds at the beginning of the scene where Mila is having an orgasm and Zoe pops her head out from under the sheets covering Mila's legs.  But it's not really hot and the orgasm is tame.
