I could barely tell wtf the Chinese guy in Inception was saying due to the loud audio mixing+the music+his accent. My parents could barely tell what anyone was saying, and I've heard some other old people I know say the same thing lol

Bane's dialogue seemed pretty clear to me, but who knows what it will sound like with loud explosion effects and a huge Zimmer score underneath

Ridley Scott is very hit or mis lately (the guy is in his mid-70's, who's to blame him?) but even when he misses his films still look gorgeous. 

Robin Hood was so so so boring but man did it look fantastic when watching it.

Has anyone else seen the new Mission: Impossible? It is really really good. Easily the best of the franchise so far. Brad Bird did fantastic. I am surprised how much of his style came through in live action. You could really tell it was from the guy who did The Incredibles. Whoever decided to pick him to direct this was a fucking genius.

Wow, I am super happy to hear that. Incredibles is probably one of my favorite movies, mixing comic book action with James Bond style... I really liked MI2 and MI3, so I was looking forward to this. I'm happy to hear it's not misplaced.

MI1 was on TV here last night, to help promote Ghost Protocol. I'd forgotten how much I disliked that movie.

Believe his last total Sci-Fi was Blade Runner, which is unfortunate. He seems to have a great affinity towards it as far as set design and vision.

The last Batman film, 2008’s The Dark Knight, grossed more than $1 billion worldwide, and the studio doesn’t want anything to tamper with Rise’s chances for success.

Sources also say some at Warners would like Nolan to change the sound mix, but the filmmaker, whose autonomy is well-earned (his Inception earned the studio more than $800 million and eight Oscar nominations), has informed executives that he plans only to alter the sound slightly, not to rework it completely.

Nolan said similar things to The Hollywood Reporter at the prologue’s unveiling during a press event Dec. 8, explaining that it was OK for a moviegoer not to understand what was said at times, as long as the overall idea was conveyed.

The whole time I was thinking "Why the fuck can't I hear him" instead of taking in the scene along with the dialog. Dumb decision by Nolan.

I honestly have no problem with the sound mixing.  Batman's voice in TDK was annoying but it never kept from understanding the dialogue.  And as much as people like to complain and make fun of the Batman voice (which is a different issue entirely from the general sound mixing of Nolan movies) people tend to like it.  I've had quite a few people over to watch Inception and they loooooooove the deep bass mix throughout the movie.  Same with TDK.  Batman could ya know, just not talk like a distinguished mentally-challenged fellow and I would definitely appreciate it if Nolan could resist adding EXTRA bass to his voice.

I'm even looking forward to Skyfall.  Quantum of Solace was rubbish (confirmed by Daniel Craig) but there's better talent on board and all they need to get me sold is Chris Cornell doing the song again.
