Tom Hardy: 'My favourite 40 minutes of Venom were cut from the film'

This and Snyder essentially confirming the plan was that he was always going to kill Batfleck via Darkseid to get the scene of Supes holding his body from
Final Crisis as the capstone to his Justice League vs. Apokolips/New Gods tale before turning the DCEU over to Johns and crew were like the two comic nerd film (as opposed to comic film nerd I suppose) gutpunches of this weekend.
I wanted to buy into that theory that
Venom was the fad run amuck into a massive
The Producers type affair for everyone involved except Ari Avid. And Hardy's descriptions of the stuff cut out almost confirm that theory, except someone stepped in to "clean it up" like they kicked Snyder off
Justice League to make it a worse and incoherent movie with the idea that Joss could reconstruct it into
The Avengers randomly for pennies and with minor restaging of shoots.
I was kinda hoping
Venom would appropriately be so amazingly bad as to serve as a vehicle for unintentional critical parody of the superhero genre and its industry. Venom as a character was almost too perfectly selected for something like this, the fact that Ari Avid is fucking obsessed with the character was the cherry on top for industry followers considering his role in helping launch the endless blockbuster era with
Spider-Man and how he was overpowering Raimi's smaller visions.
Funny enough, Hardy's first big franchise role also had 30-40 minutes sliced out of it that probably would have made it a better movie since that included half the plot explanations,
Star Trek: Nemesis.
