You'll be back to test out IC, and later for Cataclysm. I'd bet a leper-ship on that

Guild drama tonight. Tuesday night we started Mimiron's hard mode (10 man). Our first couple tries were ugly but it wasn't long before we were making great progress; we were getting to phase 3 consistently before calling it. It's a hard fight but I had fun and definitely think we can do it.
We were supposed to pick things back up tonight. Had 9 of our core folks ready to go, but one of the core dps didn't show up.
One. An hour went by and he's still a no show. So we have 9 people in raid, and a total of 17 people online, yet the guild leader didn't do anything for an hour and a half, then people started leaving and the raid was cancelled. We were going to be wiping tonight anyway, I don't see why we couldn't just add one of our 80s and start.
I'm not a hardcore raider who goes apeshit over stuff, but I certainly don't like my time being wasted. Instead of raiding I was ambushed with negative whispers from disgruntled folks, and vent was filled with snarky comments.
I like our guild leader but he botches so many aspects of guild health/relations. We rely on 10-14 people, our core, and everyone else basically rides the bench while we focus on hard modes (guild leader wants the proto-drake before 3.3). We had two ToC 10 man groups for awhile, people were happy, everything was going fine...then we threw that out the window for Ulduar hard modes. Sure I want to do them, but raid weeks that mainly focus on 10 or so people aren't healthy for the guild. I suggested we get back to two ToC groups - start it at 9pm (first group on tuesday, second group wed), then at 11pm the core folks head into Ulduar. Vetoed. Now the complaints are rising and the guild leader is looking around for people to blame. Sigh
Why join a guild that focuses on 10-14 people, with everyone else reserved to the bench. Having more geared/good players would help ensure raids weren't canceled due to someone not showing up, but ultimately most raiders are more interested in ToC/25 mans than 10 man hard modes
