My game has been pretty much in a holdout pattern until this new DLC releases. When it does I'll pick up all 3 DLC at once and hop right back in and kick some wasteland ass.

I'm still waiting for the new DLC so I can finally play the Pitt.  I wasted so many experience points with Anchorage and in other areas.

How are they going to do that? What is the story format for this DLC, that it eschews the ending? Doesn't it just all happen prior to the final decisions in the game?

Same, although I don't think I'll get Anchorage.  Many people seemed not to like it much.

Anchorage is fine if you desperately need more fallout. But just expect a sneaking, sniping mission with no role playing, items or anything but shooting.

As a result of the level cap increase, you'll be facing much tougher enemies. The amount of experience required to reach the new levels is designed to keep you playing the game for much longer than the new main quest will last, which is why new side missions have also been included. You'll be traveling all over the Capital Wastelands again, though things may have now changed to reflect your earlier actions.

Dudes, I don't know anything about playing PC games. Saw the Fallout Trilogy at my local Target:

I was wondering if its possible to play it on my laptop? My Dell meets or exceeds all the specs, so that's no problem. But, I don't know if you have to have a special graphics card or if the laptop already comes with a graphics card that is ok. My Dell is your basic off the shelf D600. Help?

Wow, that's wrong. The "addachievement" console command for the PC version unlocks the achievements for the DLC that isn't even release yet. I just did the first one (Death from Above), but achievements 59-64 are all gettable with this

They all ran fine on my netbook, which had a 1.6ghz Atom processor and GMA 945 integrated graphics  (which is about the crappiest integrated graphics chip there is).  Any laptop out there will smoke these games at their max settings.

Yeah, I'm just after that part with the president.

Guess I'll finish up the one quest I still have (Reilly's Rangers) and explore some of those cities I haven't been to like Paradise Falls, Cantabury Commons, Big Town and get the last quests they have before finishing the game.

Maybe I should try to find the dog too.  Never found the junkyard.

Btw, the level cap seems about right.  I don't really get how people hit level 20 quickly and didn't gain any exp for the most of the main game.  I have like 75% of the optional quests done and I'm at the last chapter of the main game and I'm only level 16 or 17 still.  Will probably hit level 20 right when I clear the game at this rate.

Man, I was proud I finally found 100 locations after 30+ hours.

...then I read there are 163 discoverable locations in Fallout 3 pre-DLC.  Wow.  I wonder where the rest are hiding, lol.

Is there any easy way to collar Flak in Strictly Business without turning Rivet City against you?  It's the only sidequest I have left (completed all the other achievement-level sidequests) and I've completed it on a separate save where Rivet city is now not usable for shopping and hanging out because I made Flak a slave, but I reset it and reloaded my main save before doing that as I still want to use Rivet city.  But going into the DLC I want my character to have all subquests completed just for completions sake.  I also need to get Red from Big Town but I don't care if I kill everyone in that town since the town sucks anyhow.  I tried putting it on her when she is alone in her clinic but when she ran out to Paradise Falls she alerted the whole town and they tried to kill me :(

Man and I'm never going to hit those kill achievements.  Those and the computer hacking are the only ones I'm not going to get (and neutral/bad karma ones since I stayed good all the time).  I only have 130 creatures killed and 99 humans killed at this point 33 hours in with all sidequests done and the main plot right after the Enclave base.  300 = lolloololol.  My terminal hacking is around 25-30, but I hate hacking so fucking much I wouldn't bother to hit 50.  I wish your science level actually made the hacking easier like by giving you hints at a few letters in the password so you can get it all quick.

But that kills the whole point of working towards them.

I don't care about getting 1000/1000 :P  I think I did that for like 2 games at the start of the X360 life when all you had to do was beat them to get 1000.

if you scroll through all the junk symbols while hacking your curser will sometimes highlight a cluster of symbols.  click on that to remove one of the invalid keywords.  sometimes you'll get lucky there'll be enough clusters to get rid of most of the useless terms.

I haven't ran from anything.  I've killed every enemy that's attacked me.

I think it's because I don't go inside and explore locations that aren't sidequest or mainquest related.  I just discover them and keep moving.

I just use a plain old sniper rifle when in stealth.
I use a combat shotgun/flamer/shishkabob for close up and chinese assault rifle for medium range (non-vats).

I got the plasma A23 rifle from the replicated man quest, but it did crap damage for me so I haven't bothered with most quest reward weapons.  I think it's because my energy weapon stat is very low.  I focused on small guns and non-weapon skills.

sniper rifle is good but there's not much ammo for it.

ol painless is awesome in stealth. plus you can combine it with hunting rifles :bow

shotguns are awesome for VATS as well, especially if you have the perks for it

Bepbo, you'll get a ton of human kills in Operation Anchorage.  That's actually where that achievement unlocked for me.  It's truly amazing that you've killed that few humans/creatures based on how many quests you've completed.

I can't fucking wait for the third DLC to come out so I can finish the main story and my six remaining side quests in addition to the DLC itself.

One complaint I have is that I wish there were tons more quests that took advantage of all these locations on the map.  The problem is for people like me, I just don't feel compelled to explore these ruined locations since the loot will just be the standard stuff that's everywhere else and the enemies will be the standard enemies.  The locations look cool outside, but once inside there is nothing unique about them.  I'd say counting all the quests and main story you probably only 50% of the locations in the game.

At least if there is a quest story behind each one it gives something a little more to it and makes me want to explore it.

Bebpo did you go back to Reilys Rangers and do the location quest? There's a reward for finding new areas

Also they may seem not unique, but 99% of them will have a skill book or quest item in them (ie Nuka Cola Quantum).

I love exploring and finding new spots, even if there's nothing in them. It is a wasteland.

Regarding low kills, I had very low human kills but massive kills in everything else when I reached level 20. I just think it depends on the sidequests you do.

Actually I got the wrong numbers.  I saw my stats during a load screen and while human kills are only at 108 for me, creature kills are at 271.

I managed to get Flak out in the hallway alone in the middle of the night where he was having a smoke and collared him and sent him to paradise falls.  Didn't alert anyone and now I can still shop there :)

Wow, I had held off doing the final quest last night because I figured like most rpgs it would be a 4 hour epic and tough ordeal.  Instead it was 10 mins with 8 mins walking behind a robot (cool) and 2 mins fighting like 6 guys and a one minute ending fmv, lol.

I guess if I hadn't convinced the general there would have been a final boss fight?  I focused from the start on speech and so I talked my way out of everything in the game ^^;

I didn't hit level 20 :(  Was halfway through 19 when I finished the game.

Gauss rifle from Operation Anchorage is the shit when you hit higher levels

I'm getting critical knockdowns every other shot, and I don't even have a crit perk

It's hilarious to hear a Super Mutant Master grunt when you send him flying fifty feet, then running over and taking him out execution-style before he/she/it can get back up

It's almost too powerful, but they knew that, so you can't repair it on your own - you have to get a scavenger or trader to repair it

Yeah, that's pretty much it.  The game needs more unique dungeons like jrpgs.  Even the main quest dungeons were often just metro tunnels or office buildings that weren't any different than a random one you went in.
