If I just discovered the citadel, how much longer do I have to beat the game? I'm trading it for SR2 actually, and it has to ship out on Monday.

Youre very close if you stick to main quests. You'll have to go get the GECK and then from there its very fast. In fact, for those in the thread who are looking to do more quests, this is the best time to not follow the main quest. Of course if youre good karma you'll wanna do the GECK mission to find Fawkes so you can do side missions with a super mutant friend.

Dunwich building was awesome.  If it wasn't awesome, I would have been a bit ticked off that I did all that for a stupid bobblehead.

And currently at lvl 20 (I haven't played it in the past few days) I can slaughter Deathclaws like it's nothing at all.  Three shotgun blasts to the face and they're dead.  I even went to the Deathclaw cave and fought the whole lot of them.

I can't get Fawkes though because that stupid bug with Charon (and you can't throw away his contract smh) :( But thanks for the answer, i'll finish it today probably then.

There beat it. For some reason the game decided to be nice to me and let me recruit Fawkes

spoiler (click to show/hide)
that whole sequence was awesome, blowing up the President lol . Also the Optimus Prime scene was fucking awesome too. Everything was awesome until you actually enter the memorial, then you get to kill some envlace soldiers and one easy "boss" as the epic end fight followed by a stupid ending. smh. What did you guys do? I killed myself then reloaded and had Lyon die. I liked the first one better. The ending depressed me but I really wish we got to see what the purifier actually did instead of a stupid black and white montage.

Those Talon asshole are raping my stimpacks. :maf
They come in numbers. I'm starting to get cap strapped by stimpacks. :-\

The game has crashed on me a few times lately. It can come from just pulling up the pip boy or moving into a gate. I'm always saving now before a gate.

That robot ending was a buggy POS for me. Paladin Var????? kept getting stuck, so the other team members wouldn't move, and Optimus Prime would just get stuck waiting for Lyons to catch up. Smh.

Dreams are nothing.  Try sitting and class and thinking "I should really tell Gob about his family in the Underworld, maybe I can even help him out to go there if I buy his contract" or even planning where to go in the future.

It splits between the two but yeah you could kill her prior if you want

As for Vault 112, I think thats where the story is and if you didnt do the story quests prior then it completely skips them - but thats not much concern if you dont care for achievements, i think the story missions before are lame, Tranqulity Lane rox

I love how you can run off course in this game and still find things to do.

I planned on hitting up the Vault Tec headquarters to find out where other vaults are located, and got sidetracked searching in downtown DC.  Found a hotel couldn't get up to the upper level so I left and hit the hospital down the road.  Burned through the super mutants and and the top level of the hospital found a door outside with a passage way back to the top level of the hotel I couldn't get into.  Went inside and hit the Reilly's Ranges side mission.  Took a long ass time too fighting my way to the top of the building where the rangers were located.  Got to the top, helped all the rangers escape, and now have to find the camp so I can get my reward!  :lol

The nice thing I hit paradise falls right before I went on this epic sidequest, speeched my way into the place without having to get any slaves, and talked to the guy about giving him the chinese assault rifles.  I found about a good 10 of them in the hotel fighting my way to the rangers and gave them away.  I better get some sweet ass gear from this guy for giving him 20 chinese assault rifles or I'm blowing his head off with my shotty!

I feel sorry for the people who just blow through the main quest and do nothing else.  There are so many cool subplots in the wasteland which you miss out on if you don't search around.

I found this doctor out in the wastes. Bought a couple stimpacks and started walking away. We got attacked by raiders and they killed the doctor before I killed them all. I searched the doctor and  I got 53 stimpacks off him plus like 25 mentats 22 rad-x and around 450 caps.

I saw mah dad die. :'( I got my power armor training. :punch
I'm currently on Murder Pass toward Vault 87 to get some GECK. I'm really loving the scoped .44. Spladow! Heads be separatin'.

This game is starting to effect my work. It's keeping me up too late.

Yeah I wish I knew.  I have 90 locks picked, and am down to 18 pins.  Getting a bit worried.

I installed Fallout 3 onto my 20GB hdd, 5.9gb.  Game loading is slightly faster now, but not by much.  However, hearing no noise out of my system at all while the game is playing is great.

Did I just finish the game?

I followed the robot to the purifier. Decided to go in the rom and put in the code. But nothing seemed to happen. ??? I kept taking rad-x and shit but eventually I succumbed to the radiation.

But then it cut to an end scene where it said the purifier was activated, though I wasn't sure I put in the right code to begin with. :lol

The credits rolled. :-\

Are there multiple endings? I haven't even touched the north east side of the map. ???

Fawkes is by my side. Did I end this prematurely?

The credits rolled so I can only assume this is one way to end the game. I have so much more to do. I have yet to see Tenpenney tower much less the total to right quarter of the map.
