Yeah. It's nice that he's not getting magic powerups, but I agree the temp powerups gotta stop. It's like without them he is still the exact same as he was before the team split. That's not going to work when his crew all just got powerups. There's got to be something.

I'm thinking that he just went HORMONE CRAZY and let off some god level haki. Maybe he'll realize how it works and be able to use it even after the hormones wear off.

Also with all the whitebeard crew getting owned I don't see how he is going to take on EVERYONE even if he is super buffed up for a bit. Maybe he'll save Ace and Blackbeard's plan will appear and end this battle.

Whitebeard stole the show this chapter. I like when everyone got behind him to protect him as he advanced. Haki is haki and maybe next chapter will be Luffy's time to shine. Still waiting on that Garp/Sengoku action...

The Garp scene where he couldn't do it was major. It's just that in the bite sized 14 page chapters we've been getting it doesn't have the same impact as it will when you read the whole arc as a whole or watch the arc in the anime. That was an EPIC scene.

And Ace at the end was awesome because Ace is awesome and it's the clinch moment of the arc. Now it's time for some PAYBACK.

Sengoku's form was kinda meh but I'm sure we'll see more of it next chapter.

Since this was brought up in the gaf thread I figured I should recap here:

tl;dr is that the translations in the scans are pretty bad and they kinda missed an important line 3 chapters ago after Luffy released his haki and everyone reacts. In the scan the whitebeard pirate just says "that's haoshoku haki!" but in the raw what he actually said was "that's the same haousoku haki that whitebeard, shanks, and others have!".

Because apparently some people in that thread didn't realize that Whitebeard has the king level haki.
