I'm not sure on this but I believe it is (wiki doesn't seem to have more info on it). But I know the sun still glares down on you in left the same way it was in the old stadium. But the presence of that jet stream, which wasn't there at the old stadium, seems to indicate that the park isn't
completely parallel to the old one.
I mean, we play with it to so it'll even out; but it's such a gross oversight that it's embaassing.
I heard something on WFAN yesterday that said the breeze from the Hudson actually blows unobtrusively into the new stadium which is what's causing the homeruns. And as the weather warms it'll get even worse - the jet stream will coming in at a higher intensity + warm weather means all you have to do is pop it up to shallow right-center and that thing is blowing out.
It's hilarious how 1.5 billion dollars can't buy you competent computer modeling software.
