aaaaaaaaaaand 1000/1000 asura's wrath, this is the 10th game i 1000/1000 so now i have at least 10.000 gamerscore just of fully completed games the other are

Resonance of Fate
Lost Odyssey
Blue Dragon
Darksiders
Bioshock
Williams Pinball Collection (super proud of this one)
Tales of Vesperia
Dynasty Warriors 7
Bayonetta

it's not a hard game to 1000/1000,it's just kind of annoying to finish the game four times, you need a normal run,a run under the "no health bar mode",a run under the "no health mode" and lastly a run on hard... i'm not sure if finishing the game on hard also get you the normal achievements so maybe if you are good enough you can skip one playtrough but after you finish "no health mode" you get "infinite super bar" mode which makes the whole game trivial as you can spam special attack like there's no tomorrow

uh anyway i ranted about the game for already quite a while so here's a nice anecdote... when i watched gurren lagan in 2011,i tought it would make a kickass videogame... now that i played this in 2012? i can't help but think it would have made a kickass anime!

I'm replaying Phoenix Wright 2 as it's the only game in the series I have only played once.

Yeah, definitely the weakest entry. Case 1 is pretty funny but really short as all Case 1's are. Case 2 was ass and Case 3 is dogshit so far

Just beat Alan Wake American Nightmare. While the graphics and gameplay has been improved everything else was a major step down. Replaying the same levels over and over again? Bitch please! I understand that it might have been due to the smaller space for XBLA games but they could have at least gave you more to do in each area first and relegated the time travel to once instead of fucking twice over with no real changes.

With that said, Mr.Scratch >>> all.
I enjoyed the setting more than the original. The secluded motel in the desert and the surrounding area set the mood perfect. I hated having to do the observatory each time, though.

Loving this game- I know its busted and the multiplayer is URK but god damn is it fun to play. The fighting system feels so good. I currently main Chun Li and Xiaoyu. Akuma is a great endboss in this game- looks awesome; just difficult enough. Ogre is stupid.

Like what ive played so far but i'm not mentally there to really catass with this. Halfway through precocious kid shit.

Forgot to move my save from the last card, so starting over- participating in some daily internationals. Also got my first hole in one. Great hot shots game, even if the Pro level stuff drives me bonkers.

Awesome janky cheese.

Assassin's Creed Revalations is so boring and bloated.  It's not a bad game, but it's totally a 7.0; the story is the only good part.  Hopefully I'll have it finished this weekend.

It's so annoying that they felt they had to make the game time LONGER even though they had a smaller budget and less content than Brotherhood which already was longer than ACII with less content and bloated as well.

ACI...well it's AC1 so it just sucks and not worth talking about.  6/10.
ACII was like a 16-20 hour game to do everything.  Absolutely perfect length with great pacing and a ton of stuff to do.  Was a 9/10 to me.
AC:B was like a 20-25 hour game to do everything.  Felt a bit long and a drag pacing-wise since it was a much, much smaller game, but was still tolerable.  Was an 8/10 to me.
AC:R seems like it's going to be a 25-35 hour game to do everything.  Feels waaaaay too long and incredibly slow paced as it's an even SMALLER game than AC:B.  Meh.  Also the Altier segments suck; he's such a terrible character and they try to give him a crappy new story like it'll help.

I only hope ACIII nails the pacing and doesn't try to be BIGGEST LONGEST 50 HOUR AC GAME.

Bought Journey.  Will play tomorrow, hopefully.

Solatorobo

Started it cause of travel.  Only played about two hours, seems pretty good so far.  Main hang up is that the combat seems really simplistic.  Won't be a problem if it's like Tail Concerto.  That game had tons of variety with each new area having a different gimmick.  All the customization for the combat makes me think otherwise, but it could always expand.

It's less furry than Tail Concerto.  On the barometer of furriness, where top is "acceptable" and bottom is "hide the pets":

Disney / WB
.
.
Swat Kats
Biker Mice From Mars
.
Star Fox / 64
Solatorobo
.
.
.
Star Fox post-64
.
.
Tail Concerto
.
Sonic

Still playing Mass Effect 3, haven't had much time since I've been up all night talking w/this Ukrainian chick online. This weekend I'm gonna get some hours in, hopefully. Short weekend for me but thankfully I don't have much in the way of errands to run (for once), and only one major social commitment.

Priority: Perseus Vail. Gotta go get the Quarians support. Also finished the sidequest mission with Jacob, explored every available galaxy up to this point (and finished the required Citadel missions), and 4/6 of the N7 missions.

After the shenanigans with the GAME stores in the UK I've got quite a nice haul of games to get through. Just finishing up Aliens: Infestation which is short and sweet but seems to have a few odd design decisions. What's the point of so many ammo and health crates near a save point that refills all your ammo and health? Next up I have to choose between Bayonetta, Shadows of the Damned, and Vanquish. It'll be a novelty to get the 360 out since I've been PC exclusive for the last year.

Since I didn't get into the GW2 beta I've been grudgefucking Rift.
They have some sort of 1 year celebration going on, and recently they entered a phase with NPCs dragging floats around the game world. Said NPCs were on a circular route through both ally and enemy territory, resulting in hapless Level 5 newbs fresh off the starter area getting ganked by a 20-odd Level 50 auto-aggro mob led by an elite enemy. Grate idea. Those assault forces also murder important NPCs, so it can be a bit of a pain sometimes. Right now they only randomly spawn Level 50 elite enemies in the Level 10 Area right in front of the capital city. I have the sneaking suspicion the devs have some beef with Lowbies.

Other than that, Aion went F2P in Yrop, so I took one for the team and poked around a bit, since I was in the beta. One thing is clear, I would never ever pay for that game. The flying around stuff is nice though. It has all the markings of a private Lineage 2 server with boosted rates, though. It just feels kind of... wrong.

Finally, since those two MMOs drained my life force, I downloaded Where's my Water and Sir Benfro for my iPad.

Both are quite nice, but incomparable (Benfro is the standard indie fare, Where's my Water is a full-fledged Disney game).

Sir Benfro is just a normal touch-to-float collectathon, but I cannot dislike it - just look at that fish. It's got that whole "haters gonna hate" thing down pat. Plus the music for the first Level sounds kinda like LocoRoco.

Where's my Water is a game where you help a crocodile shower. 'Nuff said.

I enjoyed it from start-to-finish, but liked it less when I started trying to mop up various Achievements. It's pretty, both in world and characters/animation. I liked the story, but was unhappy that there was ANY addition of live-action cinematic; it negatively affected my immersion in the story.

It is sad that there won't be a sequel; there certainly are enough fans out there, if custom figures, costly, and fan art are any measurement of the audience (they aren't but it would be nice if passion level could drive business decisions on sequels).

I also cannot spawn Shogum (boss). Only Nemean, Equinox, Trauminator and Elusid. Fuck this game for being like a crack :maf

I was doing real bad at Super Meat Boy yesterday so I downloaded Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude. You play as Larry's nephew Larry and he farts when you press the action button. The first girl I tried to get it on with was a southern Daisy Duke gal, so I was off to a great start even though there were two of them in Larry 7 (mother and daughter). Instead of doing adventurey things I had to impress her through a series of wappy minigames. Nothing ended up happening anyway so I turned it off and listened to Miranda Lambert. I'm 25 years old and this is how I choose to spend my evenings. I also installed a nude patch.

After turning the 360 on for the first time in ages I'd forgotten how fucking loud the damn thing is. I realise I'm being a whiny bitch who should just turn the volume up, but I hope it isn't the same next generation.

I seriously hope we get a high quality HD console game for DQXI and not some 3DS rubbish. Also hope they go back to a more character-based tale instead of the "blank slate" of IX. One of the things that made games like DQ4 and 8 (and to a lesser extent, 5-7) so good were the characters.

I'll most likely get the DLC as I'm up to like chapter 5 and enjoying it. It took me awhile to realize its really a puzzle game. All the pre-lease info made it feel like a brawler or an action adventure game and it has those elements but ultimately at least so far its about figuring out how to navigate her across the environment. The robots and all that other stuff are really just problems in a puzzle. An easy puzzle albeit but it definitely isn't just a brawler.

Finished Assassin's Creed Revelations.

The last hour was pretty cool.  I thought the story in Rev was good, but it was really rushed.  I actually think it was a lot more interesting historically than AC Brotherhood with the Ottoman Empire feuds.  But the city was boring and some of the gameplay changes from Brotherhood were really bad.  Brotherhood is definitely way more fun between the two and the story is told better (less rushed feel).  I could recommend AC Rev, but only as a "play the main missions, ignore the side stuff" 12-15 hour game.  The 30 hour version of Rev is pretty boring.

But now I'm almost ready for ACIII!  Will pick up the Lost Archives DLC for Rev next time it's on sale on Steam and it'll refresh my memory on the stuff between now and AC3 in October.

Just re-bought Catherine. Listening to the awesome soundtrack inspired me to give it another shot. I left off on the final puzzle, not sure if I should finish it off now or start over.

Last grand DQ game. DQX will be shit, mark my word.

Beta impressions seem to be quite favorable so far for what it's worth.

neverdead is... well... it's freaking boring that's what it is,the premise is amusing and the campy demon hunter setting it's nice but that's like the only good thing i can say about the game

the combat feels all wrong, you have 2 guns but they deal super shitty damage, there's no weight behind them either, they fire super slow and enemies don't stagger at all when hits... saying enemies is a bit of a misleader because the game throws you hordes and hordes and hordes of little quick doggie enemies and never ever mix it up

you also have a sword which you control with the analog stick (kinda like how skyward sword would work without motion control) and it usualy kills every enemy in 1 or 2 hits, which just makes you wonder why you should ever bother using the guns, most of the time the game locks you in a zone and then goes "now kill all the enemies" so you start killing them but they keep coming and after a while you then notice there is an enemy spawner in the distance... so you go attack the enemy spawner only their health bar is huge and it ends up being like this

"Accurate represention of what killing a spawner feels like"

apparently there is some mechanism where "accurate strikes deal more damage than just swinging at random" but i'll be damned if i noticed any difference when i tried going more slowly instead of just waggling the stick all over the place

the gimmick of the game is that you have no health bar, instead when enemies hit you,you lose a limb,if you can dodge roll over a limb you regain it,otherwise you can regenerate it after a while,if you lose all your limbs or get hit by a particulary strong attack your head detach and you have to reattach yourself to the torso or wait around 30 seconds before being able to regenerate whole, meanwhile you risk of being eaten by small little ball-like monsters but even if that happens you have a chance to escape by doing a little timing event,so dying it's almost impossible which makes the game even more boring

you do get other guns as you keep going, but ammo for them is pretty rare and it's not like they feel much better than the normal guns, there's some small puzzle and collectibles element like you can detach your head and throw it to reach passage's and the like but really it does nothing into making it less boring

man i remember when playing a konami game meant something :fbm

the whole reason i wanted to try neverdead is because the director of the game was apparently involved with ghost babel, which is like the best metal gear game ever (you know it's true!) so it's really disappointing to see this...

Finished up Enslaved today. I liked it. I like it quite a bit. It's generally a good sign for me when I start a game and finish it relatively quickly because that means it hooked me. There are some exceptions to this but it works as a good rule of thumb.

The appeal of the game through out is the puzzle stuff, the voice acting and the immersion factors. All really good. Reminds me of a game from last gen in that regard and I mean that in a good way.

The combat and the general movement is pretty weak and bland. I always felt like my control of monkey was delayed or something. But the game does a really good job of motivating you to keep doing the stuff you are doing in the context of the story. I was fine with the auto-pilot platforming as I'm not really a fan of technical platforming.

Kinda weird that these guys are doing the dmc game. Their strengths clearly lie in story and voice acting and the drama elements of games. Not the technical side.  ( I never played Heavenly Sword so I have no basis of comparison for that) I'm not really a fan of dmc at all but it seems like a waste for them to be working on something like that. Give that to platinum games or anybody else who seems at comfort with those technical brawlers.

I know some people were bothered by the ending but I liked it. But then my taste in endings doesn't seem to be mainstream.  :P

I'm also fine with the series ending here although obviously I wish it had sold better for them. I don't think every franchise needs a bazillion sequels. This is a one off from this gen that I will look fondly back on.

ME3 up to the final mission, just want to grind out the multiplayer shit before then... will hopefully do that sometime this week. Game has been surprisingly good up to this point, even in spite of all these lockups I've been having lately (as someone who doesn't play very many american games I'm not used to lots of glitches at all!). Can't wait to see the "WURST ENDING EVAR!!!!!!11!!1"
