I've become addicted with ME3, I waited till they announced the final dlc to even start up the game. So far I'm enjoying the crap outta it. I am surprisingly impressed with the multiplayer. Something I thought was not needed at all in the ME universe and it actually ends up being a lot of fun. Granted I'm only been playing bronze missions and trying to get the hang of the different characters. I love the randomness of item you get when spending coins.

picked up Afterfall InSanity on Steam for some unknown reason when it was $10 and have actually been having an enjoyable time with the Polish eurojank dead space clone game play and ridiculously easy combat

Game was fairly enjoyable until it throws a boss at you for the first time with no health meter so you cant twll how effective your attacks are and also it has an attack you can't dodge. So it becomes very irritating very quickly.

Titan Quest is a good choice. I thought Torchlight was too simple. I guess if you're starting out it isnt so bad. But D3 would be a better choice then.

Oh wow, I never knew Entomorph had a prequel! That was one of the first PC RPGs I've ever played. I was never able to make it far due to a Windows 3.11 crash bug, but I remember the game having great redbook music... kinda like Ys buttrock crossed with 90's new agey stuff.

Been playing:

Ni No Kuni - finally got the last few trophies that I wanted to get. So I'm finished with it, doubtful I'll ever go back and platinum. Great game once you can get over some of the clunkiness with the battle system. The exploration, world map, sidequests... are all things that I wanted from this generation's RPGs. If the battle system was much better, it'd be my #1 RPG of the gen, but for now it's #2 with Xenoblade still the best.

50 Cent: Blood on the Sand - just beat the helicopter level. It's definitely a much better game than it has any right to be, but there are some issues I have with it. The screen-tearing can be pretty bad at parts, and the cover system doesn't always work too well.. some places where you should be able to take cover, you can't... and other places when you're in cover mode you still take damage. It also seems like it's getting a bit repetitive in terms of gameplay, like most cover shooters tend to, for me.

Little Inferno - I now have 75/99 of the combos and have bought all the products. It's a cute Wii-U downloadable game where you burn stuff in a fireplace and try to make combos of things to burn. Each product has a different effect when you burn it - a "corn on the cob" for instance turns to popcorn, a "boombox" makes a house beat. There's also a bit of a story with a slightly morbid twist to it, and lots of humor in the product descriptions. It's definitely more along the lines of 'nongame' or 'interactive media' but I still enjoy it.

it is really simple, in every way, but its fun i suppose. i dont want something ultra clunky at the same time. id have bought D3 first but its way too expensive right now. not trying to pay more than 20 on a pc game.

Did you geet the THQ pack? They gave out Titan Quest, last I recall. If I could gift that to you separately I would, I still have my THQ bundle, lol.

Started playing Trials in the Sky Second Chapter last week.  Problem is I don't remember FC all that well.

Continuity  :gloomy

Kind of makes me appreciate those Yakuza recaps at the start of each one more.  TiTS is way more complicated though with all the sub-characters and foreshadowing in the first game.

watched videos of the boss fights in Afterfall and said "fuck this" and have deleted it from my machine.  It's a damn shame as it was fairly enjoyable up to that point.  Fun for $5 - $10 but I wouldn't suggest anyone pay $20 for it

Although i'm getting a bit worried about the Steamy Bathhouse stuff - is the game actually homophobic or are they turning it all into a teachable moment or what

well now im intrigued

the problem with the boss fights is that they don't exist until the end of the game.

there have literally been no boss fights whatsoever and what combat there has been has been laughably simple.

then they throw you into an arena with a multi stage boss with limited ammo against an enemy that can attack you through walls (due to jank rather than by design) and has no health meter so you can't be sure if your shots are actually effective or not.

i figure i have other, better games in the queue

yeah, they nailed this game. I suck shit, but it's a lot of fun.  Been using Zafina/Leo.   also, best online mode I've seen.  A japanese fighting game online mode actually makes sense and is smooth for once.

the servers are still up, but you need to boost. Me and Chronovore attempted it but the matchmaking sucks ass and wouldnt pair us up. Boo. Still managed to get a whole mess of cheevs in player matches.

And yeah, mulitplayer achievements in games other than Call of Duty and Halo typically require boosting more than a month after release. I tried to play Binary Domain online a few months after release and it was DEAD. Such a shame, I really wanted to try the Horde mode  :'(

Lost Odyssey was pretty good. Shame it never got a sequel. It could have been a decent franchisee, but I guess MS was not interested in building one.

But yeah after disc 1 the story dosen't do anything cool.

I remember reading that had it become a series every game will have the immortals in them but with a different cast of mortals each time. I thought that would have been a cool idea.

that wouldve been awesome.

WCW Vs. NWO: World Tour, WCW/NWO: Revenge and WWF Wrestlemania 2000

So much fun, I forgot how great these games were. It doesn't have any of those fancy modes but works slowly on the fantastic gameplay, wrestlers can pull off a lot more moves than in modern games and the momentum based system is genius.

Go find Wrestlemania X9 or Day of Reckoning and go crazy. The games are from Yuke's, but the game designers were from AKI.

You should go ahead and get the expansion now if you don't already have it. It adds a ton of new stuff to the base game.

Yeah, pretty sure you have to run the expansion executable and manually import your base game character [done through a menu option in the expansion], unless you just want to start a new character.

Also I have never ever played No Mercy and it is easily one of my biggest regrets in gaming.

Just play it on an emulator man. And while you're at it, download Virtual Pro Wrestling 2. AKI made that in between WM2000 and No Mercy and it's as great as you'd expect.

Made it to stage 8 of 50 Cent... and now it's starting to wear thin. The levels are getting longer and longer, and after the novelty of the premise wears off, you're left with repetitive wave after wave of "whack a mole" style shooting so endemic to cover shooters, and a glitchy cover system where I'd frequently take hits even though I was clearly in cover. A few sloppy level designs in the start of level 7, crossed with the bad cover system, made things extremely frustrating, and the less talk about trying to aim the rocket launcher at the chopper, the better.

The dialogue between 50 and his co-op partner (I use Yayo, of course... north shore Suffolk County represent, bitches!) is hysterical, and the "scenarios" where you have timed objectives is really cool. The game is still much better than it has any right to be, but it's no where near the top of the cover shooter list. I think I'm nearing the end, so I'm definitely gonna finish it.

I think Vanquish may just have spoiled me for every other cover shooter ever.
