douchebags on g4 think saggle is the best out of all three  :lol :lol :lol

As they were shown, saggle is the best out of the three.  But I don't think Sony will release it or bother investing more.

If Microsoft gets a pointer/movement solution, Xaggle would be the ultimate one.  But I don't think they will do that.

Motion Plus looks a lot better than what the vanilla Wii remote has.  But again, saggle is even more advanced than that.  Motion Plus has the benefit of being real and releasing later this month.

Vitality sensor is pretty distinguished mentally-challenged but also pretty ignorable even if they did spend way too much time blabbing about it

Wow, you people are absolutely pathetic.  This thread is just depressing.  It's hard to imagine there's so many miserable people out there.

This conference was unbelievable and completely and utterly destroyed Microsoft's (and of course Nintendo's).

Uncharted 2
GT5
God of War 3
FF fucking 14
ModNation Racers which looked awesome
The Last Guardian
And finally, a motion control system that actually looks like it'll have more potential than some tech demos and mini-games (Natal) and annihilates the Wiimote (way more precise, and also depth movement)

Reading the replies in this thread (just the last page or two) made me somewhat sick to my stomach.  It's just disgusting.  You people are an embarrassment to the human race.

Please write release dates for those games

Day,month,year

That is the problem, everything else is totally subjective

"look at how precise it is"

*dude misses every swing*

You realize that even a super-precise controller is going to be useless in the hands of an uncoordinated user....it was kind of a bad demo since shit just appeared out of nowhere and he was supposed to bat it around....a real game would obviously show you the pitch/serve from the beginning.

You can see the accuracy though with the bow and arrow and the handwriting.

Well, it is. Natal is promising, but Wii just looks like shit all around. Good system with motion tracking > shit system with motion tracking.

The Wii is $250. PS3 is $400.

Casuals aren't going to care about who has the better wand with these prices.

Casuals don't care about better anything.  I don't think most Wii owners really think "oh, I wish this was more precise."  The appeal of the Wii for them is just moving and watch crazy shit happen on screen.  Motion Plus is probably to appease nerds and sell more product.

Probably the reason why Natal has a chance of being successful and the Sony wand has none.

Natal is going to look like Eyetoy to people, and it wouldn't be far off, at least on a base level. I'm not sure if either will have any success, but it's cool to have on two good system.

thirty seconds of looking at it, 10 minutes of Iwata talking prior to the unveil.

the worst thing about this E3 was that presenters thought people cared about what they said.  Microsoft and EA were smart enough to just be like "let's show people things, not tell them"

at least all the Gran Turismo PSP talk made Sony hurry up the ending

I had my fill of GOW after the first one, so that is just a "looks damned hot, if you care about God of War" title, but Uncharted 2 looked damned good. It felt like a less clowny version of the action sequences in Gears of War 2.

I guess people like Trico, but the real hot thing was the kart racer.

Oh and taxes. So in reality it's more like $600.

And that's without games!

Both have no chance of being successful. Developers aren't going to waste much resources for their games on a control scheme for an expensive peripheral that you have to pay for. Maybe some shitty thrown in support for minigames a worse alternate control scheme for future retail games. Most developers won't even bother supporting it. It's a peripheral, anyone who's ever kept up with games knows they never work out unless its very minor put in with a game, like Nintendo has done several times.

Consumers aren't going to go out any pay the price, whatever that may be (probably fairly expensive) for a gimmick and a pack of toy games that come with it and some half hearted developer support. It's no different than a lightgun or anything else thats come along over the years. They're sinking a ton of R&D into something no one is even going to think twice about buying, except the small little peripheral/toy crowd.

Plus when you really think about it, had anyone actually THOUGHT about what it would be like to use Microsoft's thing throughout a game? Shit, you think waggle is bad, try holding up your hands to use an imaginary control scheme. You really want to play a game like that without a controller? I don't think these companies think things through when they do stuff. It's like they're just releasing whatever new tech they can think of to try to combat the Wii's success without really thinking about its relevance. Both sides are going to bomb pretty hard with these things.

The racing game + The Last Guardian were very nice.  Fuck GOW.
that's how I feel too. The most impressive part of the modracer was the ease of content creation, which is starting to become a theme for Sony community games. GoW looked great graphically, but the gameplay was very samey. I liked the first game in the series and the PSP entry, but I couldn't bring myself to finish the second one on PS2.
