The Logitech PS2 wireless controllers are great, but they stop working after a while. I had two that decided to crap out on me after 8 months of use.

I've tried a lot of them and a few for the Xbox as well - didn't like any of them unfortunately including the Logitechs and went back to wired.

Just watch as September's console sales jump with an intense ad campaign for Halo ODST that jumps from the proverbial rafters two weeks before the game comes out, subsequently knocking everybody distinguished mentally-challenged. It's like super hero movies, a lot of the people who weren't mega fans as children (and as dysfunctional adults) are the ones buying tickets anyway, because it's a spectacle with a lot of hype. People who are on the fence or just potential console owners will definitely catch wind of Halo fever and buy that shit up.

all despite it being an expansion pack.

as I said, halo makes people distinguished mentally-challenged.

The price is just one piece of the puzzle. Sony now has to prove that there are new games worth playing on it. I don't see how Uncharted 2 will be that game. I bet Modern Warfare 2 PS3 will benefit the most from this, sales wise.

I think PS3 could overtake 360 or at least match the sales. Most likely, it will outsell the 360 in September and then go back to where it was last year in relation with the 360.

Sigh. I sold my 60 gig ps3 when the slim was announced but now Gamestop near my school has refurbished 60 gigs.

I'm not sure if I should bite and get the 60 gig or get the slim and emulate ps2 games on my pc.

I'm conflicted because refurbished means it was used at one point, and I refuse to buy another used console.

ps2 emulation is getting better plus it looks tons better than ps3 bc, persona 4 is a blurry mess on my 1080p tv.

Yep, the momentum is in Microsoft's favor rather than Sony's. Madden sales also show that most of the PS2 Madden crowd has jumped to the 360. Same goes for Grand Theft Auto 4. Everything points towards the 360 of being the casual American successor of the PS2. I don't think people are driven by aesthetic changes to the console (PS2 was fugly) as they are with the games coming out for it.

Unless Uncharted 2 is just that compelling.
