It's combat trucking, essentially. Pretty fun, provided you have a bit of a compulsive streak. You do missions for progress, but you also load up on cargo to buy low/sell high for spending money (better/larger trucks or weapons).

Expect jank.

pretty much, they put them up for sale every month or two. they also put up the steam link for like 3$ a lot so I'm guessing they're dumping the remaining stock of hardware. altough i recently noticed they both released a stand alone dongle and apparently they work over bluetooth now so you dont actually need it anymore. they still update the software somewhat frequently

Blutooth is just "low energy mode" for whatever reason. They still want you to use the high-power/dongle wifi whatever mode.

I mean they update the firmware and give people more options. If you're expecting a revision to match the 360 controller or whatever: Not gonna happen. If you're talking build quality: Well, may happen but no time any time soon.

Gotta figure they're gonna lose money and then go back on it. I haven't bought any PC games not on Steam for years. Every once and a while I boot up Origin and I'm like "oh, hey that game came out a few years back". If it's not on Steam I don't even realize it's come out and it doesn't exist for me. Pretty sure a lot of PC gamers are like that as well.

The big publishers have been trying to find a way to move away from steam for a few years.

I don’t think Activision is moving away from Steam because of titties. They just don’t want to pay the 30% fee. That said, look how no one cares about PC Destiny 2. Nobody wants to play these shooters on PC.

Anyone have any idea why I keep getting new cards every day for games I'm not playing? Like I got one for Superhot today which I haven't played in years, and Battleblock Theater yesterday which I also haven't played in years.

I wish there was a way to just batch sell all your cards. Individually, it's not worth my time to put up a 9 cent card, but if I could put up 100 cards in a couple mins for a few bucks it might be worth it.

don't think there's a concrete answer to the random card drops yet. I'd also speculate that they're tied to the summer sale but who knows, maybe they changed the random drop system to include cards in addition to booster packs now

Technically, Ubisoft has tried that. Nobody gave a shit about Uplay, which is why they tie their Steam stuff to it. Because they know they'd sink.

I only buy DICE-games off Origin. Anything that isn't on Steam from them is shit I probably don't care about. Like, I want to play "A Way Out" but since it's forced co-op and I know nobody else with Origin, it's a hard pass. I already own all the DLC for Burnout Paradise on PS3 and it's fucking dumb the non-Remastered PC verison never got the 360 DLC despite showing that it was fucking possible if they fixed the collision detection via the PC modding community.

CoD has been low energy (SAD!) on PC for years. So them moving it to Battle.net only is LOL and will just kill it further.

my quest to buy R6 Siege finally draws to a close. i grabbed the second tier bundle on Steam last time it was on sale, only to refund it when it went on sale on Humble a week later cuz i had the monthly discount, not realizing it was the uplay version. so rather than install yet another launcher for a single game, i refunded it again in shame. the just under 2 hours I put into it before convinced me to just go all in and grab the whole shebang this time, since the 15 bucks seems preferable to grinding out the rest of the operators.

Still going through the tutorials but it's real fun so far. i suck ass even against the scrub AI enemies though so i'm looking forward to MP being a disaster
