Maybe i'm prescient, but friend was stuck in central jersey under 17 inches of snow and couldn't make it, so i didn't even bother. Watched it at home on the 50 inch and 73 degree temps.

I ended up kicking my chair and it flipped and hit my sister in the head. I feel like such a shithead. She was crying, threw the remote at me and stormed out of the room.

Only the fucking Jets. I swear. Always new ways with this team. It's always like this. Always.

... I'm not so sure I'm happy about these reports surfacing that Shanahan will be our head coach next year. During the end of his tenure with the Broncos, he was known for some truly boneheaded playcalling.

And I feel pretty confident saying that no team is going to win a Super Bowl by hiring a guy approaching 60-years-old. This league is a young man's game, and with the hours coaches have to put in now, it really is a career for someone in the thirties or forties.

I think there may be only one or two coaches that have won the Lombardi trophy over the age of 55 within the past two decades (I'm pretty sure Coughlin is older than that).

Which doesn't change the fact that you didn't ANNIHILATE me. If, you know, we're using my nearly 100 curbstomping of you earlier in the season as the benchmark for annihilation, which I don't see why we wouldn't. Also, it's not like my team crapped the bed this week- they put up a damn respectable 170+ points, enough to win most weeks when Ben Rooflesburger doesn't throw for 500 fucking yards.

Eh, I'm actually kind of happy about it. It'll give the new GM a pretty transparent look at the team, and who needs to go. And to be quite honest, prior to this loss I was beginning to kind of root for Zorn. I thought maybe he was pulling it together.

Tonight was like an epiphany of sorts. Bring on the Shanahan era.
