I don't think Sony supports region locking games on the PS3. I thought all PS3 games were playable on all PS3s, TV format (NTSC/PAL/SECAM/moonlanguage) excepted.

I played the demo recently, and was surprised how much I like it. The encouragement to hold off on blocking, to activate the slow-time, which in turn increases bonuses... it was all pretty cool, but it would have been crap if the basic controls weren't as accessible as they are.

Devil May Cry isn't my thing, but this was actually fun. Is this what Viewtiful Joe was like?

My assumption has always been that they come back with a score, show the studio, and the marketing department takes the guy from Famitsuu into another room, where they "discuss" it. In my most cynical versions, the Famitsuu guy takes out a little menu, with +1, +2, and +3 on it, with a little price next to each of them. The prices are exponentially more expensive. I also assume there's a +4 that's not on the menu, with a price tag only SQUEENIX can afford.

Oh, there's also the "Please delay the publication of the review" menu item, which is a freebie provided you also pay for one of the others. This is the only way I can explain the 32 or 33 Dirge of Cerebus received on a review which came out something like 3 weeks after launch.

I was just playing SC4 online (on both systems) today. The netcode is fine if your internet connection doesn't suck.

People have already said it's improved over SC4, but no one will no for sure until everyone gets online. But SC4, HD Remix, MvC2, SF4, BB...all these games have good (amazing in BB's case) netcode. Only KOF XII is fucked up.

I don't know how it was in 2008 -I was in Japan and lag was not an issue unless playing people outside the country- but back in the States, I play it from time to time and don't have any problems. A level 3 bar might cause an issue, but usually I play people with 4 and 5 bars. No problems.
