Dexter was good.  Julia Stiles is part of the show now.  I'm always hung on how much I like her.

One part of me says "would."  The other part warns me that she is too skinny and seems like she doesn't know how to have fun.

Julia Stiles :heart

I love snaggletooth girls (within a tolerance).  Dunno why.

The ending of season one of fringe and the beginning of season 2. :rock  The last shot of season one is so fucking perfect.  like end of planet of the apes perfect (the original).

yes yes YES

Season 2 kinda gets bogged down for a while until it becomes amazing halfway through.

new episode of Futurama tonight. The current season has been the best in the series, imo, and I'm looking forward to this. Too bad it's a clip show :(

EDIT: Finished watching. Absolutely terrible. Dunno who they had working on this ep, but it's the worst in the season, and one of the worst in the series. Not a good joke in the whole thing. Yuck.

Started watching Community, after really enjoying the premiere a long time ago. It's funny, but I think it may get old quickly. Chevy Chase does a surprisingly good job of staying subdued. Ahbet and Troy's episode closing sequences are the funniest thing in any episode.

Also nearing the end of Leverage. While I have enjoyed almost every episode, this is the first time I have ever encountered a series where the pilot/premiere is superior to the rest of the series. The first episode has more twists and turns in it, more interesting drama, and Tim Hutton's character is a flawless conductor of the team. His role is lessened in subsequent episodes, and the only reversals in subsequent episodes are less about a contest of wits between competing cons, as much as they are the mark is about to escape the con.

It looks like a two-part finale closes the season, so I'm hoping it will advance the characters or have some of the complexity of the premiere.

Last two episodes of Dexter have been pretty...solid :'( Was hoping it would be shit through and through so I could skip it altogether next season, but now it's all up in the air again. At least it only took over half the season to establish some situations that are actually of interest lolamirite?

That's pretty accurate for me. Watched a good chunk of S1, thought it was pretty funny if not a little forced, and then somewhere I just totally lost interest

Watched the two closing episodes of Leverage season 1: The First David Job and The Second David Job. Both were outstanding. I'd just been whining to the wife that the first episode of the series was, strangely, the best. These each at least came close to that greatness, and in some ways surpassed it.

Just watched the Top Gear USA premiere.  Tanner Foust is fine but I really hope they get rid of the other two hosts.  Especially Rutledge Wood.  Him and Adam Ferrara just aren't funny or interesting in any way.

Ideally, they would get somebody who has a background in doing auto reviews because those two really don't make much sense in the way they explain what they like or don't like about any car.  They just basically say whatever canned one-liner the writers barfed up.  James May and Jeremy Clarkson from the british version did work at auto magazines before joining Top Gear and it seems obvious whenever they criticize a car, they know how to justify their subjectivity about anything.

Finished the sixth season of The West Wing, one to go. The coverage of the campaign trail leading up to the nominations was excellent, as good as the show has ever been, imo. I'm not sure why so many people say to bail out post season 4.

I really hope Terriers gets renewed, hopefully it gets a bit of a bump for the finale. Archer is another FX show that I've heard good things about and have been meaning to check out, I didn't realize it got a second season. It returns January 27.

About halfway through the first season of treme.  Starts out kind of slow setting up the characters but now it's really interesting.  I'm pretty surprised how many musicians are on the show acting as themselves.

If you liked The Wire then you'll like this.  It does a lot of cool things with the characters and the setting, which really impresses me since before watching I thought that a story about the treme would bore me.  John Goodman and Steve Zahn's characters are some of the funniest I've seen on TV.

But seriously, the first episode is really slow.  It's all about introducing the characters but after that the pace really picks up.
