I've liked pretty much everything Landis has done on some level, with Dirk Gently and Superman: American Alien in particular being two of my favorite things. :yeshrug

Please tell me you didn’t like Bright.

I didn’t even watch Dirk Gently. I love the books too much to see what that obnoxious little asswipe shredded them into.

I haven't seen Bright because I know I probably won't like it. :lol Channel Zero's on my watchlist though.

Chronicle: Great
Me Him Her: Decent
American Ultra: Decent
Victor Frankenstein: Decent
Mr. Right: Good
Dirk Gently s1: Great
Dirk Gently s2: Good
Superman: American Alien: Great
The Death and Return of Superman: Great
Wrestling Isn't Wrestling: Great

I mean the guy doesn't have a sterling record obviously, but he's so prolific I don't think it'd be possible for him to have one anyways. And at least his stuff is either weird or an original IP, which is appreciated these days.

Bright was like... pretty good for a big budget low effort fantasy film. I enjoyed it a lot and didn't understand why it got such bad reviews. My working theory is that the Jews that control Hollywood didn't like the elf metaphor and orderered a unilateral review bomb.

The episode titles for that show kill me. Not that it’s some huge spoiler but they are just the names of characters that show up like:

spoiler (click to show/hide)
episode 7 is “Jason Todd” and the finale is “Donna Troy”

It's nothing like Blue Velvet. So far it's been a drunk alcoholic drinking her way through her childhood memories in her old town. That's literally it. It's complete garbage so far.

I wouldn't call it garbage, the cinematography and sound is top tier, it's very well made, I just cant give a fuck about the shallow shit they focus to dwell on in terms of character and the non existent plot.

The ire for the "fuck Batman" line in the Titan trailers makes sense in the larger context of "grimdark DC," but either people are forgetting or don't know that Dick Grayson had a massive angsty phase when he went from Robin to Nightwing. That line is mildly in-character.

As far as the question that’s probably on most viewers’ minds: yes, it sounds as though The Expanse plans to take full advantage of Amazon’s lack of content restrictions and commercials. According to Shankar, that means no more dubbing over mature language or censoring certain scenes that would otherwise be a red flag for network censors.

“It’s going to be more awesome. We no longer have the language restrictions. [We can] curse like a sailor. We don’t have the nudity restrictions… and the 4K and HDR will look amazing on Amazon. We’re no longer constrained by a 43-minute box. We can put some air into it, let things breathe a little bit more. So we’re excited to be on Amazon Prime.”

Got people calling it hilarious in how, in their eyes, over the top it is. No surprise people dont know how a high functioning alcoholic copes.

Don't want to give too much away here but that's how it is. It dominates your thought process and behaviors from the moment you open your eyes in the morning t'ill the moment you close your eyes for some fitful sleep. Finding ways to constantly string yourself along just this little bit to stave off the withdrawal cliff-drop - turns you into the most obvious barefaced mess and stealth super agent at the same time...
